Not Recommended. Quick Review (5 is the best) Wait Time=1 Service = 1 Environment = 1 Car Quality = 4 Short conclusion: extremely long wait time, try to sell you cars not on your reservation, and over-charge your gas after return. Story: We arrived at 11:00am for our reservation at 11:30am (booked one and half month ago). It took us about 2 hours to get the car (1:00pm). It was an SUV (Toyota RAV4 or similar). During the wait time, sales kept selling us a pickup truck. We told them we'd like to keep the SUV as we booked during the first attempt, they sent another sales for selling us the truck several times. They did this trick to other customers and some of them took the alternative. After the pickup truck was sold, they asked if we'd like to take a sedan but we refused. We have seen some SUVs returned during our wait time but they ended up being picked up by other customers, whose reservations apparently were later than us. We spotted there was one SUV parked at the corner, which seemed to be one/two class(es) higher than ours, we asked if we could get a courtesy upgrade for the long wait time (according to our previous experience with Enterprise), but we were told the car had accidents on the right rear side door. Funny thing is the "accident" car ended up being picked up by another couple. Before we got the SUV on our reservation, they also tried to sell us an SUV that was "available" to us. But the car had a broken tire and we were told that we could bring the car to a shop to fix and we would not get charged. The SUV we ended up getting only had half tank of the gas. The sales assured us that it'll be fine if we returned the car with the same half tank of gas. However, we noticed we were over charged for the shortage of the gas on our final bill. We had to call the customer to solve the matter, which took us another half an hour. The place is in a garage and it only offered ONE short bench for customer to sit and wait. Conclusion: Our car was fine, aligning with the quality of the Enterprise. However, the long wait-time and inappropriate sales behaviors as well as the billing over-charge definitely discourage us to use the service again.
We experienced a flat tire in Idaho Falls, Idaho. We notified the local enterprise office and they didn’t have any cars to swap us with and they directed me to Roadside Assistance. I was on hold for at least 20 minutes and once connected to an operator, she couldn’t find my location and thought I was in Wyoming!!! Once we worked that out, she then contacted the two local enterprise offices to see if they had any cars that fit our needs. She then expanded her search to 60 miles away, with no luck. As you can imagine, every time she did a search, I was put in hold. She then decided that the only other option was to call a tow truck and have the tire either repaired or replaced. She contacted a tow truck company that was located 60 miles away and told us that the car was going to have to be towed to a location 60 miles away to have the tire worked on. That didn’t make any sense to us, since there were plenty of enterprise authorized tire dealers in Idaho Falls. The other inconvenience was that I was going to have to follow the tow truck in another vehicle, wait for the tire to be repaired and then return in the rental - resulting in another person helping me and double inconvenience. When we were waiting for the tow truck, I contacted your Enterprise office in Pocatello and they gave me local tire company contacts. When the tow truck arrived, I told him that we would like to go to a local tire location and he was very accommodating. We then followed the tow truck and I waited for the repair. All in all, we were able to get a fix and be back on the road, but with a 4 hour delay. We were there for a family memorial service and these 4 hours can not be replaced. We are very disappointed in your Roadside Assistance and the lack of understanding our situation. We were able to return back to our final destination without any additional glitches or problems. Our take away from this experience is that your Roadside Assistance personnel are not adequately trained to expeditiously address our needs, she also had no idea of geography, the vehicle had no spare, and we lost precious time with our family.
GREAT CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCES DO EXIST!! Rightly or wrongly, I always had a preconceived notion that car rental companies were full of snide, nefarious, penny-pinching crooks that lay thickets of trip wires for unsuspecting travellers to blunder through and to accidentally overspend on because the rental company are likely never to see them again. However on our visit to the Pacific NW from England our fears were alleviated by some exemplary service from two different Enterprise branches. We picked up our Ford Escape from 1601 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98101 on the 28th July 2022. We were greeted by Nick and his young colleague (forgotten his name apologies). Through some cumbersome work on our end we managed to book on the wrong person as the lead driver however Nick sorted it out at no additional cost for us. Legend. Moreover, when we arrived in Port Angeles we were desperate to add another driver onto our agreement just for one day. Usually this costs $15 / day. We were happy to pay this for the day however after that it would've been overkill to have three drivers on the agreement and be paying additional for the privilege. This was a problem that Caitlin at the office had never encountered before however after some nifty keyboard work she touched base with the boys in Seattle and they sorted it for us! The car itself was in tip top order and only had 7000 miles on the clock. No issues with it whatsoever. Professional and affordable. When we returned our car to Seattle Nick was there to greet us in a professional and positive manner. He gave us directions how to get back to the airport and went out of his way to help us. Top service and this really dispelled our concerns over rental car companies.
It happened in April 2021 and worth sharing I did not know that when my own new car was hit by the other driver who talked on the phone and ran the red light was going to be less stressful experience than renting a car in Enterprise Rental car on 3rd ave in Seattle. I was served by an unprofessional representative who most likely had the first day with this company..and who created the situation which caused this car damage, I am a driver for 25 years, but when I saw a narrow ramp and heard.complicated explanation of how to drive 2 floors up, take a ticket and go long way down, I asked this representative to take this car down for me since I don't know this car yet and this ramp and my way. This representative assured me that, of course, he will do that, but after talking to somebody he said that he can't, but he is going to walk and show me the way. He walked 2 floors up, but when I needed to drive down, he left. There were 2 ways to go down. and before leaving he showed me the shortest way to go instead of the way where I can drive and see the uneven curb.. Then I drove the way he showed me, I did not see an uneven curb and hit it, It is still strange for me that it took so little for the new 2021 Toyota camry's tire to pop out after hitting the curb. In spite of that I think that my fault was only that I did not refuse to drive this car downstairs, this representative got all my insurance info and said that they file this claim with my insurance. The Enterprise office took my $250 deductible: which was really strange because my insurance is supposed to take the deductible, not them. So, very bad experience with rental Enterprise Rent-A-Car in 3rd Ave in Seattle.
Edit 2: Enterprise branch manager contacted me today in response to the satisfaction survey. I was told that since I only rented the car for an hour (and traveled 1 mile) I will be fully refunded for the rental. I am updating the review to 5 as this was a prompt response and unexpected since I didn't expect to be contacted based on a survey. Edit: Enterprise has promptly contacted me and refunded the refueling option. I have replied that they should carefully advise customers about extreme weather conditions and potential sliding over the snow leading to accidents. I have changed my rating from 3 stars to 4. Below is my original review. We had a sub-optimal experience renting recently: 1. The weather conditions were very harsh, and I was not advised at all of how difficult it might be to drive in the snow. Understandable that it is rare to snow in Seattle, but providing a small car with front-wheel drive in this weather led to being stuck immediately as I left the rental car center, and stuck several times after. We ultimately gave up on our trip, and returning the car only an hour later, and the same person who checked into our car had no sympathy at all. Business as usual it seems. 2. The car had half tank of gas when we obtained it, but we were strongly advised to take the refill option, without knowing that it would charge for a full tank of gas. Seems to me Enterprise enjoys refilling their cars at the customers expense. I've posted the same information to Enterprise's post-rental survey, and will update if they reach out and address these concerns.
It was awful experience for me, even with the fact that I am a rewards member. I ordered a standard car but they gave me a compact without letting me know. Because they ran out of all cars. They are always oversold, not a secrete anymore. I had to request to switch out at another location. The call center promised me it was possible. But when I get there the manager refuse to do so because those many cars available there are for the upcoming customers. So I'm not a more important existing customer than those who might not even show up then? No matter what i said he would refuse to do so. The drama didn't end there. Hours before I dropped off my car, my credit card was charged $194, which is higher than my contract agreement of $158. I requested a receipt when I dropped off and the agent told me the final amount is $224 or something. What the hell? After some talking with her, she finally agreed to adjust it back to $158 and promised would refund me the difference, together with the receipt sent to my email. But I didn't get ANYTHING in 3 days. So finally I had to ask my travel agency to do me a favor to get it from them. After all, this is a very bad experience. They don't even treat their members like a normal customer. All the staff's attitude was very cold and selfish. I'm not even a picky person and rarely talks about minor issues I encounter. But this one really disgusted me and I felt like I had to talk it out. I'm never renting a car with Enterprise again and I'll spread the word to make sure anyone I know would not rent from them again!
Absolutely disappointed by the lack of knowledge that their staff have. I got roadside assistance package with my rental and I was told that I can cancel it anytime over the phone, before I signed the rental agreement. I just needed the roadside for first 2 days and then my roadside from another vendor was going to kick in. Now 2 days later when I call the customer representative, they say it cannot be cancelled in the middle of the trip. I told them that I was informed that it can be cancelled. Then, my call gets transferred to another representative and she tells me that I will need to go to the enterprise location to get the roadside package removed. I call them again and this time I get another customer rep. He tells me that he has cancelled my roadside assistance package for my entire trip and for the refund I will have to let the enterprise personnel know about it. It seems like every enterprise employee follow their own employee manual. Still not sure what is going to happen. This is very frustrating as I am wasting my time which I could have spent doing something useful. Edit: Once I submitted a complaint, I got a callback from the Enterprise Seattle office and they removed roadside. Switching rating from 1 to 3. I wish it would have been more hassle free or at-least I could have been informed about it while signing the agreement.
Worst experience ever…horrible customer service experience from Lucas on Saturday…booked reservation with a live agent, stopped by location on 3rd ave. Lucas made me jump through several loops and hoops which is a first time for me asking very personal information I feel racially profiled by Lucas, I have been with enterprise since 2018 and I am a loyalty member as well, after going through the questionnaire he then told me the price which was twenty dollars more than what the live agent quoted me, he then made it seem like he was doing me a favor by honoring the live agent quote by blaming them for the pricing, after all that was said and done he then swiped my card before I was ready to unlock it because when I travel I lock my debit card, he told be the card declined on his end which was odd because every time my card goes through a transaction either locked or unlocked I get a notification from my bank instantly telling me, I’m this case I didn’t…I politely asked him to run it again he proceeded to tell me the system won’t allow it to be ran twice for 24 hours, he then swiped it again and said that it declined again, I just think he didn’t want to help me and he racially profiled me and I will be leaving enterprise because of this
Sharing the unfair experience I had with enterprise. I had a standard car reserved with an employee offer code($32). When i went to get a car, standard car was not available and i was asked if i would like to upgrade to a full size. I accepted and displayed my employee badge(to make sure i get the employee offer for the available class). Couple of days later, I noticed my credit card statement that my reservation was charged at normal price!. If i had reserved full size car instead of standard size in the first place, i would have got the car for $38(with EMP offer code) but now i have been charged with $52. Enterprise was under obligation to provide me a car because i had a valid reservation. Instead they charged $15 as an upgrade charge on top of $38 car price. When contacted their customer care, i faced an outright rejection saying that I accepted an upgrade. Yes I did accept, But I am not asking for a free upgrade. All I am asking is apply my damn employee offer code to full size car as well I was given a number to their superior at the end of customer care conversation. I am not contacting. I don't need my $15. Keep my $15 and keep my 1 star forever.
Terrible customer service. Branch manager Richard K Tyler is an example of what's wrong with retail. As a national emerald executive who has rented all over the country this was the very worst experience I've ever had. It was a bizarre interaction when trying to pick up the vehicle (SUV which only had a half tank of gas). I had to politely request that the "Branch Manager" bring his bizarre energy down multiple times. There was no excuse for this interaction and how Richard decided was an okay way to address me. Will never rent from here again and worked with our logistics team at my company to end our long standing relationship with national/enterprise. Moving forward all of our rentals will be booked with a different rental company over this situation. How you treat people is what sets your business apart Completely inexcusable. Can not understand how this person is any sort of leadership position what so ever. I understand there is a labor shortage but Richard K Tyler should not have a job. I hope the owner at this location takes note and is more hands on with employees here. Additional training is required.
I rented a car for a very short time in Seattle, Washington, in late June 2023. When I arrived at the downtown Seattle Enterprise location, there was a very long line of customers and initially only two Enterprise/rental car employees working at the time. The line moves fairly quickly, although I was surprised that such a small office would have so many customers and so few employees to help. Overall, I have always been pleased and satisfied using this particular Enterprise rental car location, because the employees are friendly, the service is quick, and business gets done promptly and professionally. My only complaint is the $125 drop-fee, because I returned the car at the airport and not the downtown Seattle location where I initially rented it. Other than this, I will continue to rent from Enterprise and this location in general. Please, however, reconsider the heavy drop-fee for those of us who are frequent customers to your location, but who infrequently need to return the rented vehicle to a different location in the same area; the drop-fee is very steep.
I never expected to actually like a car rental company but Enterprise/National totally proved me wrong! It was a last-minute decision for us to book a car, and initially we had wanted to rent from a certain international car rental brand but the extremely poor reviews put us off. We chanced upon Enterprise and the glowing reviews drew us in. It only took minutes to book a car online and we picked it up the next morning. As we were early the line was not too long at the two available counters. Nevertheless Ashley went beyond her duties and started an extra counter with her tablet to further expedite the car rental pickups. The staff at the pickup and returns were equally helpful and efficient. They even provided a disinfecting wipe inside the car for an extra wipe down should we need one, even though the car already looked thoroughly clean to begin with. We have rented many cars over the years all over the world, and I'm satisfied to say that this is by far the best rental experience we have had. Huge props to the team and its management. Keep up the good work!
Hello, I have been renting cars for the past 40 years. All over the world. This rental experience was one of the worst. 1. The auto attendant messaging system is terrible. I waited over 40 minutes to speak to an individual about picking up my vehicle a couple of hours earlier than originally reserved. The customer service person told me I need to call the local office if that were possible. The number she gave me was another call center...not the local office phone number. I gave up with waiting another 40 minutes on hold for the same outcome. Instead I took an Uber to the local office with the hope that the vehicle would be available earlier than originally expected. Thankfully it was. 2. The Enterprise employee who helped me select my rental was very polite...told me he would pick a low miles SUV and make sure my 1700 mile journey would be in a newer vehicle. Nope, didn't happen. The SUV had 48k on the odometer. The steering was loose, pulled to left and had a heavy feel. Like a car without power steering. 1700 miles of driving...not fun.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I rented a 4 runner in May that had a ton of scratches and a chipped windshield. The person that checked the car out to me assured me twice that the damages were noted. Clearly they were not because later in the evening after I had returned the car I got a call from them saying there were damages to the windshield. I told them the woman that checked me out assured me twice that the damages had been documented. The guy said ok and that was the end of that or so I thought. Clearly they were not documented because 2 months later I received a notice saying I owed $810. Obviously they are trying to scam! I will NEVER use enterprise again. I have rented in foreign countries and have never had them try to scam me. I called the location and they put me on hold until it was after hours so they wouldn't have to help me. This is ridiculous. Do not trust them if they assure you damages have been documented. Have them walk you around the vehicle and take pictures. Better yet do not rent from them!
Had an easy time booking the rental and returning the car. I originally booked a luxury model . When I arrived at the downtown location, I paid in the office downstairs with my debit card and then went upstairs to the third floor to retrieve the vehicle. When I went to pick up the vehicle, the attendant upstairs indicated that since I had paid with a debit card I could not get the luxury model that I had been charged for. I was confused as to why they did not tell me that when I was downstairs so I could have just paid with a different card. Rather than going all the way back downstairs to restart the process and switch payment methods I ended up accepting the downgrade, although they still charged me for the luxury model and I had to request a discount be applied for the difference when I returned the car. With the exception of the bait and switch, it was an overall smooth in and out experience and next time I will just know to use a credit card instead of a debit card to get what I actually wanted.
Service was great the person working was very accommodating when I asked for a certain make of car. They are the only location open on certain days when one might need a rental and due to being in a garage the vehicles are very clean exteriorly. The only downside is to get out of the parking structure you have to go down this spiraling ramp that seems very narrow and the entire time I had my rental that was the only time I was afraid of damaging it. If you aren’t up for driving in Seattle this might not be the location for you. That said if you need to get out of the city quickly say after taking the light rail in just turn right out of the lot go past 3rd then a gentle right onto olive and you will come to I5N or you can make a gentle left onto Howell which takes you to I5S I say this in the modern world of google maps because it is really rather easy to get from enterprise to the highway thus getting away from the scary city. It’s not worth avoiding this location purely because it’s in downtown.
This was my second time renting from the downtown location. The first time everything was amazing. Upgrade to a bigger car was easy. They also had stock of cars there. So when I went in the second time thinking I was gonnq get the same vehicle, that was not the case. I had forgot my crdit card so I couldn't get what I wanted l, which was fine, however there was nothing there. How do you offer cars with nothing there? We went down to a standard car, but was offered a pick up truck? No thanks. We then asked one of the agents to take us to another location to get something there. She told us no. I mean isn't that in your slogan "We'll pick you up" in this case we should of been offered a ride to a different location. Luckily the agent that began our rental let us take a charger due do there being nothing there. We were willing to wait for cars to return so we can get something else other than the Nissan pick-up. Not sure if i want to go back there, however they are easy to get to than the other ones.
After a very exhausting long trip from Philadelphia via Chicago, where we had a 3 hour layover plus another added 3 hour delay due to mechanical issues, we finally arrived in Seattle. To add insult to injury the line to get the bus for the car rental place seemed to be endless and added almost another hour to our odyssey. Now it's about 10:30pm or so and we are tired and cranky. When we finally got to the the rent a car building my husband ran over to the Enterprise desk and was lucky to be served right away by Efren who was wonderful and made our transaction very easy and quick. Then we preceded to go to pick up our car where another friendly and very efficient young man named Bryan welcomed us. It took very little time and with finally a light at the end of the tunnel we were on our way. Thank you so much Efren and Bryan for giving an awful travelday a happy ending!!!! It's people like you who make people like us choose Enterprise again! Many thanks, Ursula and Alex
In terms of the vehicle, which is what it’s all about, their cars are great and if not, they’ll make it right. So that’s worth many stars. In terms of location and the process to get in and our with a car and return a car, then get back out…not very fun. The staff are all great, but the winding narrow driveway up to the top floors and down of the parking structure make you wish you bought the extra insurance. The line was so long at check in with one employee working the desk and around 8 people in line. When I arrived only one person was in front of me but it took around 15 minutes due a card issue. I would have gone with 4 star since it is a good central location other than the in-location experience, but I wanted to return the car elsewhere to avoid a repeat and as it turns out, if you rent from this location you can’t return to surrounding cities (even for a fee). So this secured their place in my book as a solid 3 star, but nonetheless with a great car.
Reserved a car 2 weeks in advance to have it “not available” until two hours after our scheduled pick up time. We were forced to “accept” a luxury car instead as we had non-refundable timed tickets to a museum due to Covid. When we returned the vehicle, we were not informed about refueling the tank prior to returning. Once there, they claimed that a half tank of gas would cost $60 to refuel and that the gas price was $6.04 right now ( a complete lie, the average for the area was $4.80). The agent who claimed this nonsense gave a sassy attitude when challenged with the gas prices. As you may read below, others have experienced the same service with the refueling charge. They do not tell you that even if you use a single gallon, you will be charged for a complete tank. This was the case for my half full. Extremely unprofessional individual and the sassy responses were unwarranted and left a bad taste. I will report the same in my post experience survey.
It all started off on the wrong foot. The full-size SUV I reserved was empty of fuel at my scheduled pick up, I was given two options, return it empty or wait 25 minutes until it was filled by the lot attendant. He said it was clean. It looked clean from what I could see in dark parking garage. I left to go fill the tank, once in the light I noticed it was not clean but I was now in downtown Seattle looking for a gas station. The front windshield was disgustingly dirty on the inside, the driver side wiper was junk, there was no windshield fluid either. Once at the gas station, I inspected the car and found more evidence of it not being cleaned as he said. Very disappointed that now I had to clean it to feel a little safer in the time of an epidemic. I folded down the seats to find beach sand everywhere. I don't appreciate being lied to right to my face. After it was fully cleaned, by me, I decided this was my last time renting from Enterprise.
The people at Enterprise were really great. I only use Enterprise as a last resort because their process or system of operating is frustrating. If you visit the Enterprise website and make a purchase/reservation you will pick a car, enter all your credit card information, and get a print-out with a confirmation number. BUT, when you arrive you will find that the card was not yet charged because they don't take payments in advance. At this point you have to give them your credit card information again. What was the purpose of entering the card info back when I was on their website? Who has that card info if Enterprise doesn't? Also I was not the card holder I was just the driver who flew in from out of state to help the card holder get home from a long stay in a hospital. AVIS let's me pay in advance. When I arrive I have a paid for car waiting. Much easier. I recommend AVIS.
generally rude, I was told to exchange my rental there by another enterprise agency because the car was unsafe, out of alignment and brakes pulling. When I went to the branch on 3rd ave in seattle, they told me all they had was a minivan and a pickup truck. while he stepped out of the office to prepare the car I went online and saw that branch actually had many cars for rent. The man was rude start to finish and at first told me he could not help me wihtout even looking into his data base. I had called the 800 enterprise number and they had sent a note to this branch. It goes on , more of the same and I left without excnahging the car. If you want rude and questionable tactics this is your place. I have never had anything but great experiences with all other enterprise branches by the way
5/5 highly recommend. Excellent staff and great cars! We rented a 7-seater to see the tulips, and the rental agent Ryan & John went out of their way to arrange the pickup staff (my bad didn’t note down his name) to show us the available options. We decided to get the Chrysler Pacifica that was still in the cleaning, and the pickup staff & cleaning crew jumped in to turn the car around for us. The car was in supreme condition despite 21k miles- easy to steer, clean, and is a plug-in hybrid! Pleasantly surprised, and as a result we had a blast. The only hiccup is that somehow my booking made on Orbitz didn’t automatically get to add to my Emerald account, which I will fix later by calling the customer service. Overall, highly recommend Enterprise for rental in Seattle!
Very poor customer service, neither the representatives nor the site manager exhibited professionalism or discretion to be courteous. I have been a loyal, frequent client to National because of convenience, and top notch clients at the airport locations. One bad egg unfortunately does so much smell. We have been pushed for many out of pocket upgrades and as an experienced traveler I knew which ones weren’t relevant or good value Associate all of sudden started to present excuses about my rate and ended up with that class not available. Never heard such poorly facilitated upsell effort which ended up with agitation and aggression and frustration. Horrible experience with a location that simply oriented themselves to extract value. NOT recommended.
Due to covid the indoor counter is unavailable so everything is done in the parking garage which isnt a big deal its just really hot and muggy. This location is in an area extremely inundated with homelessness and open drug use in broad daylight. This is an issue all.over downtown Seattle not just here but for this reason we opted to return to the airport location. I did not feel safe coming out of that garage after dark. The staff was nice and helpful with my request to drop off somewhere else. They have heard this complaint about the area before. That being said, not a huge selection of cars but we received something that was more than adequate for our 1 day rental.
Terrible staff at this office. First of all staff Michael D omasoro had terrible customer interaction ( worse that I've experienced). Led to advice that led to cancel of my reservation, refused to hand over car that was right in front me and began raising voice at me when I voiced the issues at hand that were lead by him. Had to rebook same car for double the price and for the day after. Looking at other reviews on this site, this seems to be a Terrible place for minorities to get a car as there is obviously two different services being received at this location , would recommend another site or service as this site would lead to dissatisfaction.
Overall, I had a very good experience at this location, but the line was out the door and there were only 2 agents working that Saturday morning. I waited over an hour to be helped. Connor and the other agent I interacted with were all pleasant. I did explain that I had 4 big suitcases and he offered a car that didn’t fit all our luggage, so we had to change cars in the lot. We did receive an upgrade for the same price, but it was a little of a hassle. As others had stated, I didn’t feel pressured to buy any add-ons. Drop off was a breeze as we returned at the airport. I would consider using them again the next time I’m in Seattle.
Rental experience was great overall, the associates were very helpful throughout the entire process. Rental was super clean and free of any damage. The check out process was very simple and the associate we worked with was incredibly courteous. It did take roughly an hour to pick up the rental as there was a large line on a Friday afternoon and only 1 associate working the counter. He was incredibly friendly and helpful all things considered. The costs were very upfront during booking, I was not charged for the rental until the day after I turned the keys in. Overall, had a great experience with Enterprise.
Every time I rent from here the rental agents are so friendly and accommodating. I had another company reservation fall through at the last minute because they don’t accept debit cards and Enterprise was able to get me in a car the same day and time and similar vehicle for a matched rental price. I think it’s great they allow rentals without needing a credit card. I just always feel well taken care of here from their team, regardless of the location Im renting from. They are committed to cleanliness and top notch service. I’ve since become a member so I can begin to earn rewards. Would recommend every time.
Our team is here for a few months of business in Seattle and we have vehicles rented from this location. Annie, Richard, and all the team here have been absolutely incredible in their efforts to assist us. Every interaction we have had with them has been professional and accommodating. It is so rare to have good customer service these days that when you do receive it, you really notice it. The vehicle selection at this location is also very good compared to the smaller locations. As a new visitor to the Seattle area, I would say that this is the best location to rent a vehicle in the downtown Seattle area.
The sum of rental was all good. However, the downtown location which I rented from is completely horrible. The area around the rental office is completely over run by homeless & I don't have a problem with homeless people, what I have a problem with is having to step over people doing drugs and other deals to get to the front door of the rental office. Once you actually locate the not so clear entrance. You have to walk through a lot of homeless people doing drugs & other things. I was literally afraid but upon my return, the staff made sure I didn't have to walk thru the crowd alone. They are great!
This is review of Seattle location on 3rd Ave. I had a frustrating experience trying to contact someone from that location. Their listed phone number is the national number, and no one at national knew the actual phone number of the Seattle location on 3rd Ave (referred to as Downtown Seattle). They finally did provide a phone number for the other Seattle location. I called that other location, and they provided me the phone number for the "Downtown" location. All of this was happening while trying to navigate the Seattle streets: one way, no right turns, some blocked off and street cars.
Highly recommend this location! We flew to Seattle for our grand-daughters birth, and rented a car for a week. The baby was a week late and there were complications, and mother and daughter had to stay 5 days in the hospital. We were with them day and night, and when I finally returned the car 5 days late, Blake worked out a very reasonable rate for us. Everything about our experience with Enterprise at this location was FANTASTIC! Thank you all for your understanding and kindness. Because of the entire team there, I may only rent from Enterprise from here on out.
We had a reservation 3 weeks before our trip despite the very high cost of using Enterprise, we have had good experiences overall in the past with other locations. Our experience at this location was not very good. We waited almost an hour for our car with about a dozen other people, despite having a reservation time/date. We ended up not getting the vehicle class we reserved (it was a larger suv, which isn't always a good thing in Seattle). Could have just been an off day but unfortunately the experience wasn't the best nonetheless.
Very pleasantly surprised by Enterprise: I rented a car for a day trip and everything went perfect. Reserved online, nice lady at the front desk outlined everything and went over the cost breakdown. Nice guy in the garage gave me a choice of cars in my range, helped me inspect/summarize the car. In and out in under 10 mins. The location is easy to access despite being in the middle of downtown (just watch out for construction on certain streets) and they have convenient after-hours returns (with a little key drop box).
Service people are very nice. Location is pretty convenient because it's downtown Seattle. otherwise you have to get the car from the airport. The only thing that I would advise is that taking out the vehicle from the garage and returning it back is tricky. You're exiting on Stewart Street when leaving and you need to come from the same place on 3rd and Stewart from the Stewart Street entrance while returning the car. Things could be a bit easier but it's not the enterprise people's fault. They're trying their best.
Mostly it was an okay experience. My biggest problem is I reserved a standard SUV, and when I got there they only had intermediate SUV's. I was forced to rent a smaller vehicle for the price of a standard vehicle. The only concession was a tank of gas. I don't think that was right, since I reserved the vehicle weeks before. It was important to me to get a standard size SUV, since I was driving from Seattle to LA. Due to that experience, at this point it is pretty unlikely I will ever rent from Enterprise again.
I'm disappointed since I expected to receive a luxury car. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the location didn't have those vehicles due to a glitch on their website. I felt deceived as they should have notified me beforehand rather than upon my arrival, leaving me with no choice but to accept a different car. Additionally, upon returning the car, they charged me for 2 gallons of gas, even though I returned it in the same condition they provided it. Overall, I'm quite dissatisfied with their service.
After having the worst customer service experience using enterprises call system to report my vehicle not starting. I decided to go into the store to speak with a manager. I was greeted by Alyssa the branch manager, from that moment on I received the best customer service I've ever encountered. From the moment she said "hi", to the moment she said "have a great day" she helped me through one of the most stressful days in a while. Would recommend this place to everyone 10/10 times.
We rented a car that was a bargain, almost too good to be true. When we arrived in Seattle, I received a call letting me know that there was a glitch on their website and they didn’t have the high-end car that I signed up for. The employee let me know that they’d do their best to accommodate us. When we arrived, they cleaned up an Audi SUV for us and honored the bargain price we reserved for. Nice that a company owns up to its mistakes. Thank you Enterprise team!
We flew into Seattle and rented an SUV for 2 weeks at this downtown Seattle location. The service was timely, friendly and the value very good, saving $500 over the 2 weeks. We took light rail from the airport and Uber back to the airport. Taking the light rail involved walking to the station at the airport and from the station across the street to Enterprise on the 2nd floor of the parking structure. We had extra bags on the return so Uber was the best choice.
Pretty shocking customer service from the top down. All started well enough but I was told blatantly wrong information from at least two team members (that an invoice would be switched over from my name to the warranty companies). When all was said and done I was charged for the bill and no one in store or in Enterprise call center could do anything about it. Once they were paid they were super unresponsive to both myself and the warranty company. Avoid.
This Enterprise Rent A Car in downtown Seattle was so easy to utilize! I just needed a vehicle for the day. I made the reservation online, and went to pick it up. The location was convenient as I was already downtown and could walk there. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they went over all of my options, made practical recommendations and gave clear instructions The car was clean and a good fit for me. I would highly recommend them!
Efficient and well managed, but return instructions could use this specific point: "3rd Avenue at Stewart Street is for bus traffic only, so to approach the entrance to the parking garage, go south on Stewart Street in the left lane, and turn left across the double-yellow line into the garage entrance. If you have a GPS, enter the coordinates 47.61137, -122.33982, and ensure that you approach from Stewart Street, not 3rd Avenue."
By planning my rental months in advance of my trip, I was able to get the vehicle I wanted at a very affordable rate. I really appreciate that they have so many affordable locations. Pickup and return were both seamless and easy. I had to swap vehicles after the original one was vandalized, but the agent could not have been nicer and more efficient, thus minimizing the interruption to my trip. Overall, a really good experience.
We’ve been renting cars from the Downtown branch every weekend for about 2-3 months now. Renting a car from here is a great experience because of people like Matt. Matt Connors was really helpful with one of our rentals. He is definitely an asset for Enterprise-rent-a-car. He helped us go through multiple cars to meet our requirements and quickly rented the one we liked. Most of the execs here are really good. Thank you Matt!
Good staff and nice cars. We got little bit damaged car and we took video before leaving the facility. While returning it was easy to explain to manager about the initial condition of the vehicle. Only issue is with the directions. We need to spend 15-20 mins to find out the return entrance. It would be great help if they update the proper location coordinates in google maps. It will save lot of time to customers.
Pro: The assistant, Robert, was awesome. Extremely helpful and professional. The car was great too, clean and in excellent condition. Con: Paying with a debit card was a bit problematic -- the car was around 600$ and this is how much I was charged in the end. However, at some point they blocked around 1600$ on my account, which is a bit insane. Still, they do take debit cards at all, which is already good.
Alright, nice car, remember to inspect the vehicle with or without the agent. They change. Simple scratch to a minor gas fill, they charge like crazy. Be patient and get an official receipt. We rent here constantly, but the young female agent was rude, for such a nice personality. Just be aware that everything that you rent, double check. Especially outside the vehicle agents are nick Pickers.
I would have given a five star rating except for the difficulty accessing the rental office in downtown Seattle and returning of the car. Every thing else was easy including picking up and returning the car. When returning the car Luke was very helpful in working with us as we had sometime to kill before our flight out and needed a place to hold our luggage for a couple of hours. Thank you.
Location is great and customer services are friendly but the Enterprise app doesn’t reflect their inventory. I booked a compact car on the app and when I arrived on a busy Saturday they had ran out of all sedans. They were very helpful and quickly prepared a car that was just returned by someone else to give it to me. Overall, don’t trust the app and try to arrive early on busy days!
Everyone I worked with at the office from pickup to drop-off was very helpful and pleasant. Needed to change shorten my reservation by one day a month before and customer service was NOT helpful but given Covid circumstances, however, they didn't have a lot of control. I then call the office where I was to pick up the car and they made sure I was taken care of. Thanks, guys!
Reserved a 9:00 pick up but there were no cars available. I reserved a mid-size SUV but due to lack of cars, had to take a sedan with no mention of reducing the rental due to the smaller car. The crew that was on hand was very apologetic about this so no complaints in regards to how they handled the situation. I did get the gas charges due to the above inconveniences.
Such an incredible Enterprise location!! Seriously some of the best customer service I have experienced in any industry. Impeccable management that shows through in all the employees. Convenient location, great vibes, and just overall an incredibly satisfactory company to customer experience (which is rare these days across the board!). Thanks for being so awesome :).
I rent from here regularly and I have always had a great experience thanks to the staff. Today, it was no different. Thanks to Annie for finding and saving me a SUV and coordinating everything. The only downside to this location would be going up and down the parking garage. It can be confusing the first time. But, I guess it's okay given it's located right downtown.
My experience with this location has been excellent due to my interaction with Matt Connors who not only went out of his way to locate a vehicle that I would be happy with within the Enterprise network when the downtown location couldn't accommodate but helped me with any issues that I encountered while on the road. He was always available and went above and beyond.
We rented a car that was a great value, almost too good to be true. I received a call letting me know that there was a glitch on their website. The employee let me know that they’d do their best to accommodate us. When we arrived, they cleaned up an Nissan Murano for us and honored the bargain price we reserved for. Thank you Ethan and the Enterprise team!
I had a great experience at the Enterprise!Pick up was smooth and informative and the attendant was great (I regret not asking for her name so I can shout her out but she’s from Mission Viejo California). I did have an issue with the vehicle but same attendant (again from Mission Viejo) was great in resolving the issue for me without any complications.
Enterprise staff were friendly and helpful throughout our rental! We initially had problems locating the rental facility, as we rode the light rail too long, but they took time to help us reroute! They were able to upgrade us as well! They were easy to work with during check-in as well! Will definitely be going with enterprise with our next rental!
Was a pretty standard car rental experience, employees were friendly and car was in good shape. I knocked a star off because it's not clear online that the car drop-off is on Stewart (not on 3rd Ave as the address states) which is hard to figure out while navigating the maze of one way roads and bus-only routes. Please update your info Enterprise.
Deandre is an AMAZING member of the Enterprise team at this location. In 40 years of business travel I have NEVER encountered such a positive, attentive, customer-oriented employee. Enterprise needs to recognize and grow this team member. He is superstar with an incredible attitude. Thank you for greeting us when we returned our car today!
Great experience renting a Ford Edge, which was one helluva fun ride, btw. Thanks to Ryan who hooked me up at the desk (and for watching my belongings when I had to run back to Top Pot to retrieve my wallet). The attendees at check out / check in were excellent as well, friendly and informative. Will definitely be using Enterprise again.
We needed to change our Enterprise rented Kia car due to the snow storm we faced when we arrived to Seatle. They did not want to do that eventhough they got many SUVs there. The Enterprise agent and his supervisor were very mean and did not even want to provide any help and check out other branches! Customer service is not recommended.
It was great. Car was ready when we went to pick it up; clean and in good shape. Just what we wanted/needed. MOST IMPRESSIVE was the attitude of your team members. They all seemed very concerned about ensuring we were happy, taken well care of, etc. We will keep Enterprise at the top of our list next time we need to rent. Thanks!!!
Excellent experience renting a car for 7 days. The pick-up process was quick, and the associate helping us was very helpful and fun as he took us through all of the information and paperwork. Car was clean and ran great, plus got great gas mileage. We were very pleased with all aspects of the service with this Enterprise location.
Great service! Wes was really helpful. We were travelling to Canada and needed to upgrade to a car with GPS, and he helped us pick the best option. The car was great and we had no issues. Returning the car was also very convenient and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend Enterprise to anyone in need of a car while travelling.
Renting a minivan Chrysler Pacifica 2 weeks ago pick it up at this location, and drop it off at San Pedro, Los Angeles ( 24th, April 2022 to 29th, April 2022). The minivan was ready at the lots to be delivered, cleaned and sanitized. We had a great experience. Excellent Customers Service. Keep up the Excellent Services. Thanks.
Wonderful, friendly service from staff; great pick-up location downtown near light rail station; fabulous rental deal offered online to rent from this location; clean, safe fuel-efficient vehicle that was perfect for our needs! Thank you Enterprise for yet another fabulous experience with renting a car- you make it so easy!
Not a good experience. The car had no window washer fluid an was told it was frozen ,sent me on my way in rain an fog unable to clean my windshield . the handle on the drivers seat to adjust it broke off before I left there parking lot, wouldn't stay in position. Returned it for a functional car. I loved the people there!!!
This branch was great! Can't go wrong with enterprise. The staff was friendly, quick and great service. Taking the time to make sure my rental was good to go, even insisting on switching the one assigned to me when it had not been cleaned. And another when the change oil light was on. The garage can be tricky.
The employees got me into my rental quickly and on return got me checked out quickly. The car was good and mostly clean. I would suggest doing a better job cleaning the inside of the front windshield. I had to take the time to clean it so that I could see clearly at night. Otherwise a very good experience.
Excellent value, friendly service, and (most importantly) vehicle ran great and was perfect for our needs. I couldn’t be more pleased with this rental experience. Also, the office and pick-up garage were right across the street from the light rail station that runs to/from the airport- SUPER convenient!
Very nice and helpful folks at both pick-up (Port Angeles) and drop-off here -- took my car even after-hours, after also offering to let me keep it another day w/o charge. The employee who took it in was especially helpful, and I haven't had better customer service from a major company in a long time.
I first scheduled a car rental at the Greenwood location in Seattle and the assistant manager who was supposed to open came in late and I was not able to get my car in time. However one of the employees set me up at the downtown location and everything went smoothly and I was in and out in 10 minutes
One of the best experience renting a car. Customer service is top notch and they worked with me when I had to return the car early and in a different state with no extra charges or fees. The car I rented was clean and drove like new at a very low price. Highly recommended place for renting a vehicle.
I am very appreciative on the good service of the desk staff by the first name of Payton. He is such a nice and friendly person to us when picking my vehicle. He gave me a very nice hybrid car that saved me on gas. The car is a perfect Toyota Avalon for my purposes. Thank you Payton
I am happy with the service provided by the Seattle downtown office. We got a free upgrade since all the full size vehicles are out. We were able to complete our trip from Seattle to Portland without any issues and the drive was wonderful. Thanks for the excellent service!
These guys were awesome. Professional dedicated, and caring. From pickoff to drop off, all went smoothly. They even gave me a ride home after dropping off the car when the rental was finished! Who does that? Highly recommended and their rates were quite competitive too
I rented a car from the downtown Seattle Enterprise Car rental office. Josh, who was working that morning was very helpful to us. The assistant manager also gave me a prompt response to an issue that came up the car later. I appreciated their comprehensive service.
Thanks to Matthew we had a great experience here! Matthew helped us check in early and get our car situation figured out without any problems. He was very friendly and truly showed us some "Midwestern hospitality". Thanks again! We will definitely be back.
John and all his people at the downtown Seattle Enterprise did everything they could to make me happier with my rental vehicle. They were great and would have no problem renting with them again and Enterprise overall have been always great to deal with.
Super nice and supportive customer service! Our manager Annie was really patient and helped us to solve some seemingly unsolvable credit card issues and we were able to rend a car after all. This was our second attempt while Avis did not bother at all.
Our experience here was great. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Rented a vehicle for a one way trip. Got exactly what we wanted and were given a great price. We were in and out in no time! Would rent here again if needed in the future.
After an unsuccessful attempt to rent a car in Turo, I went directly to the "enterprise" office and, within 10 minutes, received a Nissan Murano for five days. As a result, I extended the rental for another day (by phone) and was satisfied!
They got us a reservation last minute and we ended up with an upgrade at no charge. Quick and easy, and right in the center of it all. Not complicated at ALL. Trust in them to save the day when other rental companies let you down.
Kind of hard to find at first, but besides that it was a good experience. The car was ready when I arrived and very clean. It only had half a tank but that was ok. Brian was very helpful and able to answer any questions I had.
I have been renting from enterprise over last few years. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Paul goes the extra mile with a smile to keep customers happy :) The quality of cars, is good, they are clean and well maintained.
There are three elevators, and only one is active;and that one is cranky about working. Usually the buttons are stubborn about lighting up until after the door is closed. Other times the elevator is just not running.
Rented from this location more than 10 times. Staff is friendly, wait time is usually less than 10 mins, cars are clean and pickup and drop process is pretty smooth. Would highly recommend booking a car from here.
Lucas Jenson!! He was a life saver, thank you to Lucas for making sure we got exactly what we needed for our vacation!!! Your kindness, professionalism and determination help make our vehicle worries disappear!!
The line was longer thank expected to check in part because Blaine and colleague give special attention to each patron. Dillon at pick up was awesome and Todd made sure my start was quick and clean.
Best Enterprise branch and staff in the US! I can definitely recommend to go and see Alyssa, Robert and the team if you need a rental car in the Seattle area. Would give them 6 stars if I could!
We put 2,233 miles on the Chrysler 300 traveling the entire west coast and mountains. The car was very comfortable and drove great. Pick up and return with Enterprise was very smooth and easy.
I have been going to this location in downtown Seattle for a few years now. Always friendly, professional staff willing to get the car in your rental class. Easy after hours drop off as well.
All the representatives that work at this location are great. They make the rental process really easy. Shoutout to Ryan and John for making my last rental experience seamless and efficient!
Excellent, fast, professional, and friendly. The guys at the counter know how to connect with people and offer outstanding customer service. Thank you for a no hassle car rental experience!
had a long wait to get to the counter, it was very busy but when we got there the enterprise representative was so very helpful and great to deal with. car was perfect and return was easy.
A great experience. I will rent a car from her again if we visit Seattle. The pickup location is very convenient. The car was clean and the staff had not been pushy about all the add-ons.
Lucas from the Downtown Seattle branch was amazing! He helped me & my mom on 8/20. He was kind, efficient, & very caring. Thank u, Kyle for all ur help! U are seriously appreciated ❤️
