My experience with JB Hi-Fi has been fantastic the past few days. I have purchased a Nintendo switch from them, with a few other accessories and games and that was easy as. The next day I purchased another game and remembered the helpful, cheerful and friendly staff. The next day, I called up the store and said I would like to return my game and wanted to know if I could even if I had taken the seal off and played it and was surprised with the answer "Of course man, come in, we'll have a look and take care of you." I went in, and they really did take care of me making the experience very easy and not a minute was wasted. I very much like the return system that JB has in place. I also asked if I could use the money from the refund to go towards another game I wanted and he made it sound like the easiest thing in the world. That was a fantastic experience but as well as that I found ordering online and picking up the game I purchased too easy, I brought in literally just my phone after purchasing online and having a receipt on email. I showed them and they knew exactly what to do and within seconds I was leaving with my game. Not only that but JB has fantastic sales and prices. I would definitely recommend them over every other shop, fantastic experience.

Would like to give 0 stars. Came to the shop this morning and planned to buy high end headphones from Sony and some more stuff. Went up to a staff member and asked about them. The guy forwarded me to a colleague that was just as bugged as the first guy. Felt like I annoy them because I want to buy something at 9:30am... So, asked about the headphones and price match. The guy said he has to check stock and went back in the storage room, came out after 5 seconds and told me there’s no stock and that these headphones are pretty sought after. That excuse made me kind of skeptical and since I didn’t feel really well treated I decided to leave the store, even though I planned to buy even more (GoPro and two hard drives). Just outside I checked the website and it said that the headphones are ready to collect in 1 hour. Even if the headphones would have been in a Warehouse outside the city and I would have needed to wait, telling me that they are out of stock, just because I asked about price match which would have caused the price drop $100, that is just a joke. Came to the store with the plan to buy a lot of stuff and left with nothing, I’d guess that’s what you call successful morning, saved a lot of money.

If you want to buy something here, arrange your own pick up. Do not pay for the delivery unless you absolutely have nothing to do and can waste a whole day and be messed around. Got a call at 8am to be told delivery will be within 30 minutes to an hour, at 10am heard nothing and nothing arrived. Called and was told they are in Edwardstown as the boss told them to go there first and they will be here within 30 minutes to an hour. At 11am called them again and was told they are in Elizabeth and should be here within 20 to 25 minutes. When you work 6 days a week, and this your one day off... I missed an appointment. Missed dry cleaners and also missed a house inspection and auction. The leveling of being stuffed around. I do not know why they could not stick to the original time slot between 10am-12pm as per scheduled.... how hard was it to send an sms of updates to keep your customers in the loop. Each time I have to call and follow up to get updates! Come on! There is no consideration of peoples time. On the brighter note, the fridge eventually arrived and all in one shape! Yay! Understaffed on Sunday. I waited patiently for 15 minutes in the cell phone section to purchase an iphone. There was only one guy on. His name was Brad, he was providing great service and being thorough to the customer whom he was serving but there was no acknowledgement of me at all. I get that areas can be understaffed but completely ignoring customers who have waited for 15 mins without reassurance that someone would be over was just odd to me. A young lady ended up helping me and she was lovely and also apologised for the wait. I saw multiple staff being approached by customers with questions and being told that they were doing something else at that time and could not assist them. Got what i needed in the end but left frustrated and ignored :-( At least have 2 stationed only at those desks. Staff get pulled away all the time and when i finally left the shop there were no staff in that area at all.

Horrible store. Many of the staff won’t offer jb deals when you ask if you are Chinese or Asian despite it being a part of how their store works. They won’t even bother checking their machines and I think they have an incentive to fool you into paying more because they get commission. Told us he couldn’t go any lower when one of their competitor stores was already around a hundred dollars cheaper and they have a price match policy. The Caucasian male who served us was dismissive and basically just hovered over us without helping or serving us at all. When we tried to purchase he wouldn’t let us inspect the box and looked at us like we were crazy when we tried to. It was a very reasonable request as we have had opened items sold to us as new from many of these stores, they just wiped it and re-shrink wrapped the product. Avoid at all cost.

Centrally located in Rundle Mall, one of Australia's leading consumer electronic and home appliance retailers! They sell some of the best brands of TV's computers mobile phones,games and consoles , music,movies, white goods appliances, hi fi, tablets, cameras, speakers, car sound, home theatre, portable audio, DVDs and much more! Sadly customer service and product knowledge is appalling, most staff appear to be order takers with rudimentary product knowledge! Also their security staff treat consumers as suspects rather than prospects ,coupled with a heavy handed approach if you carry bags or a backpack! Very busy store that requires a review of adequate staffing levels as there is usually a lengthy que at their sales counter! Easier to shop on-line than put up with lengthy in house delays!

Rude and pushy sales creatures, far worse even than Harvey Norman. I inquired about a laptop, the price from JB was around $600 more that the RRP, I pointed this out and they just laughed and said "No that's not the same laptop". So I pulled out my phone, got the Dell website up and showed them, and then had to sit through a solid 5 minutes of excuses like "Oh it must be a different model" (it wasn't), "We don't stock that" (yes you do, it's right there), "The price must be wrong" (no it's not), "The specs aren't the same" (yes they are) and finally "I'll speak to my manager". At this point he then walked off into the store room and never came back, I waited around for a good 10 minutes. So well done, maybe next time try not to assume your customers are as dumb as your staff.

Each and every single time I have come in to JB Hi-Fi I am pleasantly surprised with the staff service and the range of products on offer - and the price! Staff are very knowledgeable and there is no pressure with regard to Sales and there is always an emphasis on a 'customer-centric' approach to any purchase. Purchase was fast, at a very good price and even had some cables and accessories thrown in to assist in the setup. Always a very pleasurable experience when it comes to any purchase, and it is my 'go - to' store when it comes to Phones, TV's, Sound and Accessories. Picked Up a Google Home and the store was packed... Service was fast and was treated like I was spending $20,000 not $200!! Great Store.

JB Hifi is great in general however you need to train your security and staff. I walked in greeted the security, to which I was given a blank and unfriendly expression. Then as I proceed to leave after a minute of browsing, I was confronted by security to check my bags, which normally isn’t a problem. However this guy approached only me when other people walked out without getting bags checked. Not only did he discriminate but he decided to touch my belongings and dip his hands inside. This was an invasion of my privacy and could have been him trying to “plant” something inside. I demand a response from your store on how you will rectify the situation.

Went yesterday to do the shopping at this one just to be assisted with one of the rudest salespersons I have ever encountered, he seems to think I'm just wasting his time so didn't try to give out any information that I was in need. I was gonna purchase a tv so asked for remote to check functions on it, just to be given a remote that didn't work. Ended up going to Melrose Park where staff provided excellent service and greeted me so much better. Ended up buying that tv from JB hifi nonetheless. If someone's coming with walking sale to you and you're still letting it go, you shouldn't be in sales. Never going to buy at this store again!

I have to say JB Hi Fi is a lovely place for me to get electronics. However, everytime I stop by this specific JB store to pick a click and collect, I am encountered with a huge queue of around 18 people at 2pm. There was only one staff at the counter as well. This JB definitely needs more staff as I waited roughly 20 minutes to pickup one item. A bit disappointed. Not only that, one of the security guards which work there does regular bag searches, which is not a problem with me. I understand that it’s their job, however it’s not their job to go funnelling through someone’s bag with no permission. Disappointed with my latest visit here.

Up until yesterday afternoon every time I have gone there I have had exceptionally good service, yesterday I went in to get a Apple Watch serviced that I thought I got from there (as I bought an IPhone there, and later found out I bought from another store) the manager was rude to me saying Apple wouldn’t help me with the watch and that I had a pending order for an Apple Watch with them that was still active (which I know I canceled) Nothing short of hell freezing over will make me make another purchase in there, and even then I would need to think hard about it

Annoying when it would appear a store discriminates on a brand. Went in to find some Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra mobile covers. Walk all around the area where mobile cases should be, judging by the wide range of IPhone cases that were displayed at eye level height and easily reachable. Eventually found the samsung cases on the opposite isle, below knee height, stacked below a displayed desk of other items. Must be a running joke in the store that IPhone are better or samsungs are not very popular. Just think it could be better layout. Apart from that, good pricing.

The Adelaide store has always been very helpful to me until a few weeks ago, I have ordered a number of items through this store and until a few weeks ago I have always been very well looked after, I was told by an extremely arigant young man that " we don't do that" I suggested that he look up what was ordered previously, he flatly regected the suggestion, he was not easy to deal with at all, I called the West lakes store and the young lady I spoke with was more than happy to take my order, the service is the Adelaide store is no were nere where it used to be

This is based on my last visit to this store. Every time I'm in Adelaide I come to jbhi fi city store and always spend money here and staff more than helpful but this time not so much I ask a young girl for some assistance and her response was look on our website if it's not there than we don't have it and she walked away I then asked the young fella the same question and in 30 seconds flat I had what I looking for . So maybe she should learn some people skills and not dismiss people because she deems it to hard for her precious time

JB hi-fi company as a whole, is fantastic. The individual store @rundle mall in comparison to Marion store. Does not have enough staff. I waited for 30 minutes to get someone to sell me some beats fit pro wireless ear buds and I gave up. So I walked to the Apple store and they sold me the ear buds. That walk + paying for the buds took about 4 minutes. This isn't first time I had to try and hunt for staff at the city in JB hi-fi. But it is the last time. I'll just go to Marion or any other store and price match or whatever.

For years everytime I've gone here, I've gotten the opposite of what I asked for. Came to buy a phone straight out with a what I was told was a double sided phone cover, end up getting put on a plan and my screen cracking a few months later cause it was actually single sided. Wanted to get a small windows laptop, walked out with a mac. I hate how deceiving the customer service is here. I hope people shoplift from this store more, the staff just see customers as numbers and don't have any consideration or care

Such a shame of the store service which was extremely rude to customer for asking something extra providing receipts for TRS claim, luckily I managed to get a glimpse of the salesperson who did that number is no. 59272. If you want to success in this business please train your staff properly and I am being nice to start with and asked if he had a bad day, he just wrote that and throw the pen aside. Sarah and Georgia from Rundle JB are some of the most helpful and kind hearted workers I have ever come across, I had a bad interaction with the old replacement Warranty system (some really aggressive call line worker), and when hearing this Sarah was able to jump right in and help me out in every way she could, and Georgia was able to help me look for the perfect pair of headphones by asking for what I needed and providing me with an awesome pair, these two deserve a raise

A complete electronic and gadget store located in the heart of Adelaide CBD. The array of items to pick is massive. Provides customers with gadget accessories that are up to date. The staff are super helpful and know their products really well. They are super friendly and worked in detail. The only downside I experienced was the unavailability of gadget accessories items from previous years i.e. 1 year ago. Overall, I had an exceptional experience purchasing items here.

Absolutely amazing service. It was like nothing I have ever experienced before. I went in for guidance on a computer that I had purchased 18 months ago which had broken. The staff honestly spent two hours helping me with it and eventually fixed it completely! Thank you all so much! Absolutely brilliant. All the staff were incredibly friendly. Staff are always very friendly, but the store does get incredibly busy and it can take a while to be served. Although I know the service is great, I have walked out a couple of times after standing around for 5-10 minutes without being served or acknowledged. It is a great place for pricing and range, so if you don't mind a wait the prices are good and the service, when you get some, is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Although I frequent this store the most, it unfortunately can’t receive a 5 star review. The staff are nice, welcoming and friendly(even the security at the door is nice). But the repetitive stock of the same merchandise(ie. albums, pop vinyls, clothes etc) ruins the experience in coming into a store to get something and see something different. If their stock had more variety than they would get a higher rating.

Absolutely terrible service. After patiently waiting 10 minutes for a staff member to help unlock an item I wanted to purchase, I asked if there was someone else that could help. After another 5 minutes the same staff member served someone else that wasn't even standing in the que! I walked out and went to Harvey Norman. Got the same item I wanted within 5 minutes and it was cheaper! Lift your game JB Hi-Fi.

Went there for a product exchange and was met with a rude customer service lady who gave the impression that we were wasting her time. We were then in the checkout and the three girls at the desk were just talking about their trip to hot pot and their home lives. Wasn’t very professional, that time talking to each other could have be spent talking to their customers. The whole experience was a let down.

The stores ok, but some of the staff seem dumb. Tried to buy some items for my boss with a work credit card which has a per transaction limit. After asking if the purchase could be made over 2 payments due to the transaction limit, I was treated as though I had stolen the card lol. Went to OfficeWorks straight after, bought the same items over 2 transactions with no problem at all. Poor service from JB.

We waited there for half an hour and no salesperson came to help us. We were going to buy this product, so we hoped to open it to see if it was damaged or missing, but at this time a security guard came over and used a very poor The attitude blamed us and treated us like thieves despite our explanations but his stupidity and his bad attitude towards customers made us not want to enter this store again.

I have super big and complicated ears. Picking the right gaming head set is important. Sadly you do not know how you ears will feel in them or how other will hear you all u can go by is what u see on the box. So i tried one hated it came back they where happy to exchange it, than again i wasn't happy and they exchanged those once. Complicated ears and they where really accommodating to my condition.

Mitch was helpful in swapping headphone brand (considering they been worn/tested) but then these headphones weren't high quality as promised from sample in store (misleading advertisment)......but when returning the tested product with original receipt and valid reason for refund the manager threw headphones and torn my 2 year warranty with an aggressive temper and no friendly interaction

They were very dedicated to resolve the problem for us that took a little while, rather than simply saying no. They have presented great customer service and problem solving skills. Here is the JB brach I've been shopping since I relocated to Adelaide, which I'm happy with. Most of the times I just order as click and collect, and they've got a good stock level for products I'm looking for. The staff is friendly but sometimes it's hard in store to find someone if you've got an enquiry on a product. Overall, I am happy with the experience of shopping from this store.

Went to a young female staff member at the cash register who was free because I couldn’t find anyone to help me with a purchase and she looked me up and down- “can I help you” like I had bothered her. No hello or anything made me uncomfortable and was very passive aggressive when I asked for her name and to speak with a manager. I ended up taking my business to Apple.

My wife was insulted by the conduct of a senior member of staff. A tall blonde female with seniority. On requesting a refund on an aftermarket ps3 controller in its packahing and with a receipt on my behalf, due to a product performance that is substandard and not up to expectation, she was embarressed and offended when the $69 refund was refused without good reason.

Update in Jan 2020: the staff is always willing to help whenever you are experiencing some issues with the products you bought. I was immediately greeted by one of their staff right after I entered the store. They were helpful and easygoing. Overall satisfying shopping experience. Very consistent customer service! They have some lovely staff such as Brad and Jack!

Racist Staff, They check bags of Natives for formality like seen unseen, and when other country people visit store and don't buy anything from there they check like policemen searching weapon as if there's something stolen from the store, there should be one policy of dropping off the bags at store entrance, So that customers don't feel being disrespected.

Everytime I've come here it's been a nightmare to find staff to help me. I get that 'locking' gaming mice/keyboards/headsets etc. is to stop theft, but, I'm not sure that making it impossible to find staff to help you is actually a smart business practice. Oh, and of you do find a 'busy' staff member, they'll just page for someone else who never shows up.

Huge shout-out to AJ at the Rundle Mall store. He went above and beyond to help me buy a Fitbit that was ordered in from another store. I was prepared to walk out due to the mediocre service from his less than helpful colleague but AJ just walked up to me and offered help and secured the sale. Y'all need to hang on to this guy.. excellent service

No doubt v good products range but the staff is inexperienced and untrained. Sales girl offered me some discount on surface pro 8 on black Friday .but when manager was contacted he refused to offer and sales girl also blatantly lied that she offered any discount. Also I am still waiting for my invoice to be sent. Not a good experience..

If I were her manager, I would offer this sales job to another more friendly person. Waited in the network and computer section for 30min without any acknowledgement from staff. Wouldn’t have minded if they were run off their feet but there was multiple salesman free and even double on other customers. However there were other customers that just arrived and the guys were fighting to get to them (young girls). Not happy at all

A bit frustrated. Waited to around, knew what I wanted and was ready to buy. But same salesperson just ignored me and served 2 other customers who came into the store after me. Ironic between them they were only after small items when I was ready to spend a few grand. Attitude of staff is quite poor. Will shop at other JBs from now on.

It seemed like the staff were more sales focused than customer focused, and I thought it was extremely unprofessional how staff were having their own casual conversations with each other and not focusing on the customers! Other than the service they have a great range of tech, they had the USB C adapter I needed that no one else had.

0 star if possible. Ordered this phone case on JB website and received a used/second-hand one with the package widely opened. Support team told me to come to this store and tjey will replace it with a new one. Guess what, not available in stock. Waste of time and car parking fee. Very disappointed at the way they treat customers.

Maria assisted us with a few selections, she was explaining pros and cons of the products and was trying to understand the best to suit our needs . In a busy world where custoemr service has become a $$ business, this sales consultant definitely cared abt the clients than pushing on sales. Keep up the great work team :)

A waste of my time! Did he have a mega hang-over or is he always like that? The City store staff were great !! thanks guys !

Online click and collect order processed incorrectly. When I contacted them the person calling themself manager blamed me for not contacting them sooner (I waited until the day after the estimated date). Very poor customer service. Never received the item. Told I have to wait an unspecified time for a refund.

I didn’t like security guard checking customers personal bag. That is violation of privacy in so many levels. I understand checking of shopping bag but checking someone’s personal bag is not ok. Jb hi fi should find some other way to improve their security but checking people’s personal bag is not it.

It’s a JB Hi-Fi what do you want me to say? The product and service is always pretty good although getting an employee to help is often a struggle. Providing you can strike up a conversation with a staff member it’s usually a good place to get an invite to a staff member’s band’s upcoming gig.

Not many staff to help customer. Rude staff. Asked if they sell a phone case for a Google pixel 4a. The male employee sounded so rude and unprofessional. He said it with attitude. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back, or even if I do come back, I hope I won’t see that man ever again.

tonight i bought a kpop album and it came without a photocard and i was DEVASTATED. But the lovely jamie at the register swapped it for me and checked the remaining albums to make sure they had cards. Great Customer service and i’m so happy that i got a photo card! thank you jamie ♡

Good range of products and price. Unfortunately, the customer service here is like a lottery. You can literally be left waiting to be served for more than 20 min. Plus staff can be abrupt and render you stupid. I would love to say lots of good things, but I have to tell the truth.

Other customers make it very painful to walk through the store. Staff are very helpful. High variety of cds and dvds. The security guard is quite intimidating but I suppose they should to be :) Sometimes the lineup is long but should be expected for any store that's popular.

Bought something on sale and then it was discounted further. Staff happily refunded me the difference. Change of mind returns are allowed. Helpful, friendly staff. Spent over $200 and was given a $10 voucher. Thank you JB Hi-Fi! I highly recommend this store.

If you're a movie fan or collector, this is the place to be. Not many stores sell a large range of physical media anymore so JB Hi-fi can be a haven for anyone searching for a Blu ray or 4k movie. A lot of gaming and music options too.

Came in to get a pair of noise cancelling headphones and the sales rep basically wouldn't let me get them without extra care , wouldn't take no for an answer, ended up walking out. Surely has to be a Law for that?

I was shamed because I didn't know what was needed for my phone. I'm so sad the sales guy was rude and bad. I'm 50years old I tried my best. He was angry as I was not up to speed on what I wanted. A bad experience
