One of the best shopping experiences I've had in years. I went twice during the recent sale. The first time was with my elderly mother who needed a new chair. David was the sales person and was lovely to deal with - very knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. My mother was very pleased with the service and loves her new chair. I went back the next week with my husband. We had been discussing new living room furniture for over a year but undecided on how to proceed. Our sales person this time was Trevor. He was also very knowledgeable and endlessly patient as we wandered around trying to get ideas. He let us know that they have a designer, Zeina, who could come to our home and offer a complimentary consultation. That turned out to be exactly what we needed. Zeina and Trevor came to our home armed with mountains of fabric samples and furniture design suggestions based on what we had liked in the store. Zeina took measurements and photos. We went back to the store two days later for her presentation and it was fabulous! She had pulled together all our ideas into a cohesive package that suited our style but in a way we never could have done ourselves. So thanks to Trevor and Zeina, we are getting a whole new beautiful living room. I wish all shopping experiences could be this stress free.

Many weeks ago, we tried to purchase a La-Z-Boy recliner in another city in Ontario. After the purchase, there were delivery issues which finally resulted us in canceling that order. A couple of weeks ago, since we still needed the furniture, we decided to try the Kanata Store on Campeau Drive. We went to the recliner section of the store and met a sales staff member Mitch. We were initially a bit apprehensive as we did not want a repeat of our previous experience from another city. Mitch was empathetic to our previous experience. Throughout the process, Mitch's attitude was always positive. His mindset was "How do I make this sale happen?" Mitch had to make a few trips to the manager during the negotiations. However, his continued positive attitude resulted in us purchasing two La-Z-Boy recliners instead of one. The day after receiving the first chair, Mitch telephoned to ensure everything had gone smoothly. This type of followup is very rare in any business. I have owned La-Z-Boy furniture for over 40 years. It is the best quality with the most comfort I have been able to find. Additionally, if La-Z-Boy continues employing stellar staff members like Mitch, they will remain successful for many years into the future. Doug Wilson

First dropped in to see what they had! and I found the chair and a half my wife has been looking for for years! Mitch helped me that day and every other times we dropped in afterwards. Mitch took care of our family, wife and 2 kids overtime we visited to make sure we would like the living room set, couch, chair and a half and accent chair + ottoman. Mitch came to do an in home deco assessment with Yvette. They were awesome and that visit was free. They drew to scale our room and Yvette sent us 2 different layouts for our room with suggestions for accents to deploy over time as budget becomes available. Very nice touch by La-Z-Boy to offer this service. We went back into the store where Yvette and Mitch were ready to show my wife and I the choices of accents, painting, lamps and area rugs they were suggesting. Complete service! Mitch went over and above any service I have ever had in a furniture store. I felt I was shopping local! I rarely spend any time writing a review as more often than not, I would have to write negative reviews. I took the time to write this one as it was positive.

Great experience today and we ended up buying both a love seat and sofa couch from Ken. He was very friendly and helpful. It will take 6 months to receive our love seat however the sofa is expected to be delivered at the end of October. Will update review after full delivery which costs approximately 100 dollars. Update: we received one half of our order and have yet to receive the rest. I have contacted lazy boy at least 5 times and never get an answer. We keep getting excuses of our phones aren’t working, someone will call you and then never hear back. We were initially told that our love seat would come by end of February and we are now mid April. We were informed earlier that ken no longer works there and it seems like our order has fallen through the cracks since and we are not being kept in the loop of what is happening with our couch. This is not at all what we expected. Do not recommend buying from this location if this is how they treat their customers. Seems like they will take your money but not provide any updates on your purchase.

The Kanata and the Kingston locations have been such an amazing experience in purchasing our new look for our newly renovated family room. The staff in Kingston with Mark and designer Mary Lee in helping us select 2 beautiful Greyson chairs and sofas. When we contacted the Kanata location which is closer to home as we were now looking for tables and a rug to accent the new furniture we discussed over the phone with Lisa, she has been absolutely fantastic to say the least, she goes over and beyond to work with us on every aspect engaging their designer Zeina who was also very helpful to help with the perfect rug to match all our new furniture. Lisa has kept us involved throughout the purchases even replying to emails on her days off. My wife and I are looking forward to seeing our complete renewal once they all get delivered together very soon. Now that’s great service!!!!

If I could go lower than 1 star I would. The receptionist was rude 100% of the time, we had issues selecting a chair because everything that was supposed to be in stock was not. And once we finally got a chair home, there was paint on the back of the chair, it was near impossible to assemble (to the point where I am sure it is not possible to disassemble when we move), and it also squeaked the first time we used it and still squeaks. We called immediately to be told that it would be “5-7 business days” before a sales associate would call us back. And guess what, we never received a call, voicemail or even an email. What a joke. I don’t recommend buying from Lazboy if you can help it. It was not an enjoyable experience and they didn’t even care about any of our issues with the chair that we are now stuck with.

We were looking to replace our old La-Z-Boy recliner with a new one but weren't able to visit the La-Z-Boy store in Kanata due to Covid restrictions. We were interested in getting an in-stock item due to long lead times of custom orders. We checked the La-Z-Boy website and found a good selection of in-store sales and, with the help of Mitch, were able to find the perfect chair. Mitch was very helpful in helping us through the process - we confirmed the order on Sunday and picked it up the next day from the store loading dock. We had spent time before hand exploring the website and making some primary choices. Mitch, our salesman, greeted us warmly and was immediately able to point out the various options we had in mind, answer the questions we had concerning size, fabrics, and styles. We appreciated his pointing out to us details about the chairs and to find additional other samples on the floor of styles we had not considered. At all times, he was prompt, available, polite, and genuinely wanting to ensure what we finally purchased would be lastingly satisfying for us. It was a real pleasure doing business with his. This was our first time shopping at La-Z-Boy and we look forward to return trips.

We had our appointment changed multiple times, due to COVID shutdowns. Each time, Mitch communicated promptly to try and set up a new date. We eventually came up with a date to meet with both Mitch and Michelle, the interior decorator. She arranged a great plan and helped us to finalize the furniture and finishes to suit our oddly shaped living room. Mitch, we found out, came in on his day off, just to accommodate our preferred date. He was incredibly helpful, not pushy( which I really appreciate), very knowledgeable and a very nice person. Overall, it was a great experience, now we just have to wait almost 12 months to see our furniture! We can’t wait!

I can’t say enough about Lisa Kemp (saleswoman) and Zeina Badawi (designer). Lisa is a very detail oriented and laid back salesperson. Not pushy or high pressure whatsoever. She takes the time and listens to what you want and she delivers!! I would highly recommend her if you are going to lazy boy for furniture! Zeina is a fantastic designer- confident and knows her stuff! Even if you think you know what you want- listen to her! My home is absolutely beautiful because of these 2 ladies and I can’t say enough about the whole experience. My furniture is gorgeous and comfortable! 5 star service and quality!

Price made up for pain and suffering. Once we picked out a chair to buy, it took an additional 45 mins to pay for it as the salespeople kept disappearing. Agreed to pick it up next day. Came in today to pick it up and was told since we bought the floor model that it was still on the sales floor and there was noone to help us take it out of the store. My husband and I maneuvered it out of the store as we were told there was no dollies or furniture movers either. Beautiful furniture, good sales on right now but will seriously consider not buying from that retail store again.

It's been far to long replacing my current recliner, I knew exactly what I wanted, went to several locations but only La-Z-Boy had the perfect chair I wanted. Pricing was higher then I wanted but not surprising these days. Overall it felt great sitting in it, and while I have to wait to get it I can't wait to have it for many years of enjoyment. Lumbar support, remote control, and other amazing features. I'd definitely buy there again, probably soon. I need to replace several more items. Sales person was fast and incredible. Thanks Tarek Abulaban was great to work with.

As first-time visitors to the Kanata store we were surprised to learn we had arrived on the day of a special sale on virtually everything in stock! Mitch is mentioned favourably in several other reviews from customers and you can add this one to the pile. He was very helpful, polite, well-informed, intuitive and obviously knew the product and everything about it. We went there to look and left with a couch and an easy chair! Both will prove very comfortable for a long time - a match to the comfort we experienced at the store. Very well done indeed!

My wife and I were at a point in our lives that we wanted some quality furniture. We visited the showroom in Kanata and were greeted by Steve. We were not pressured into a purchase whatsoever. Steve was very helpful and answered many queries during our visit to the showroom and over numerous emails that day. We had one of our best experiences in a store today! We visited the Kanata La-Z-Boy for the first time to look for a sectional replacement. We were about to walk out of the door when Mitch came along. Without using any pressure tactics, Mitch took the time to understand our needs and presented options that would meet those needs. It was the first time ever that we made a big purchase without shopping around. We received excellent service and felt very good about our purchase. The best sales person we have ever had in my life -Mitch Beaulieu We purchased a recliner LAZYBOY chair for my living room. I had no idea what were the options could be available for our requirements. I am not exaggerating , Mitch provided exceptional service to help us to find the best product. We spent 3 hours and he was engaged in every minute. I cant thank enough for his effort to find the best settings and configurations ( Custom package we required). After the store reopened from Covid restrictions, I went in looking for some furniture for my basement. Tarek was VERY helpful, and super to deal with. Delivery was fast and efficient - they assembled the sofa and chair, and showed me how to adjust some settings. The delivery team did nick my wall, but it was so minor I didn't report it. The driver reported it, and the store called me to offer a credit to cover the repair! Super customer service!!! I love my new sofa and chair, and was very pleased with the LaZBoy experience.

Sales lady really turned us off. She kept talking about her house, her preferred furniture choices. Never answered my wife questions. Products were good quality, a bit highly priced and unavailable. They wanted us to plop down $2k as a 50% deposit on two recliners and they said they may arrive as early as 21 weeks from now. I realise the pandemic is tough on everyone but I'm not going to hand over $2,000 in an environment where they may go under and then have to wait 5+ months for the 2 chairs we wanted and hope they arrive.

It has been a long time since we have shopped for furniture and we were somewhat overwhelmed when we walked into your store. Peter met us when we were trying out the Lazy Boys at the front door. We told him what we were looking for, a Lazy Boy for my husband. One that was both comfortable and one that suited our present living room arrangement. I could not be happier with the service I have received from La-Z-Boy in Kanata. I worked with Tarek as my salesperson. He was so cheerful and helpful while not being pushy at all. I also was helped by the in-house designer who helped me choose a rug and material for the chairs. The furniture was just delivered and the young men were very courteous, clean, and respectful of my home. They even tolerated my request to move the furniture around in different configurations! I highly recommend La-Z-Boy to everyone!

Had a great experience yesterday shopping at the La-Z-Boy store in Kanata. Went in with the firm intention of buying one power recliner and looking at a different, non-powered model. The salesperson on the floor, Sandi Gauthier, was a delight to work with. We wound up buying both chairs as well as a love seat. The only disappointment was the delivery time for two of the items but this is completely understandable given the pandemic-driven disruptions to international supply chains. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, our purchase would not fit through any of our doors, however, our sales person, Trevor, confirmed that we could return the item for a full refund. The two delivery men were amazing! At our request they left the “new” one as we felt we could remove both patio doors to accommodate the sofa. They removed our old sofa, tried to deliver our new one, returned fifteen minutes later to return our old sofa to it’s original place and take the “new” one back to the store. Great guys!!

This was our first time purchase from Lazy boy Kanata location. We needed a sleeper bed at crunch last min and Lisa was amazing. She answered all our questions and helped us out with the perfect product we were looking for. At delivery we had some door space fitting issues first attempt, however, Lisa and Nikhil both were prompt and followed up and arrange second attempt which was successful. We Highly recommend lazy boy for quality products and great customer service. Cheers!!!

Bought a couch and chair back in November last year. Delivery in march. Pieces of chair broke off a month Go and sent in docs required. Getting ghosted now and not impressed Well they never calked me i called them and said while they are coming out the seat cushion is very soft too might as well attend to it too. They just left today oct 22 fixed noise didn’t know about seat going to be another 2 weeks to order new cushion. 6 months old . Very disappointed

My partner and I went to look at couches. Tarek was great. He was not pushy, gave us space and time to talk between us and clearly knew the product on the floor very very well. When we described what we were looking for he quickly provided options. After trying 3 or 4 couches each having pros/cons, we though of a feature that would "seal the deal" for us and described what we were looking for he immediately showed us the couch that we ultimately purchased.

I purchased a whole living room set down to the area rug from Lazy Boy 5 years ago. At the time because the bill was $8000 we chose to get the 5 year warranty. 2 months ago we notice some flaws in the leather sofa. They sent someone to our home to check it out and because it was a manufacturing flaw they offered us a new one. We picked out another sofa and they picked up the old one and delivered the new at no extra charge.

We spent $6,000.+ on a custom couch and recliner and received them yesterday. I am very dissapointed; in some areas the upholstery is overstuffed, in some there are indents/lack of stuffing, some of the piping is plain crooked, some of the sewing is poorly done....if I'd known, I would have bought them at the Brick or somewhere for less than half the cost!! I will not shop La-Z-Boy again, nor will I ever recommend them.

We purchased a couch and loveseat on Saturday at Lazboy. Steve from Kanata answered all of our questions and gave us time to discuss. Initially I was thinking a sectional but then asked for his opinion which he agreed that we would have more functionality as well as keeping the current layout. So now we wait for 8 weeks for it to be built! Couldn't be happier!

Bought a $4000 leather sofa in 2016. It sagged and had to be replaced within a year. In 2020 the leather/ paint wore off. Called company for either a replacement or a fix. They indicated manufacturers warranty had expired. I have had leather furniture for 15 years and this never happened very disappointed in Lazy Boy.

Furniture ordered 5 months ago. After many many months of horrible service and calling constantly to find out status. It finally arrives! To be missing parts which they say will be a major repair and miss matched parts. So probably months to come. They will take your money but after, your screwed!
