My husband and I were at the Liv-eat Fresh Eating outlet at Liverpool Street to have brunch. We had a salmon and chickpea salad (M) and a creamy carbonara (L) and some Berry smoothie. My husband had a few bites of my salad, and I finished everything else even though the salad tasted slightly off, though I brushed that aside as it just being a “cold salad”. Soon after at MONA, my husband began to have cramps and a headache. He felt like he was having a fever, though hours later he was fine. But I went on to have food poisoning since then, with vomiting and diarrhea for 2 days. And I’m still unwell! We're terribly disappointed by what was supposed to be clean and green food.
Have been a regular customer of the Liverpool St store for a while. I usually grab the boiled eggs or a high protein salad bowl for lunch, but decided to go a warm bowl of chili con carne today due to the weather. I have ordered this previously and expected to get a 50:50 of meat sauce to rice. But no. I would guess 20:80 meat sauce to rice today. There was more sour cream than there was mince! Won't be bothering to order that again since you've decided to bump up the cheap carbs to increase your profit margins.

I rarely do take out food, because when many people came in the same time doing ordering the staff is have no enough experience after the service will be bad. This morning, I grabbed one cappuccino and bananas bread and before I interested about combo and they’re didn’t get me l, it’s all good. When they’re making my coffee or bread is awful. Won’t go back, the staff haven’t learn properly yet. Sandy bay street is better than the Liverpool street.

I would go 3.5 stars, as long as you aren’t served by the black haired woman who works regularly the service is great. Sometimes the wraps and sandwiches are put together with no comprehension of portion control so I would say you should hire an ex cook/chef to oversee food production. Not bad though I’m just being realistic, still definitely try them out if you are interested! Veg is fresh enough, too many salads have bacon in them which is horrible for vegitarians and Muslim’s.
I had burrito with falafel last Friday after work and I knew the food wasn’t fresh but I was hungry and had it anyway. I have been in bed all weekend and Monday (today) due to food poisoning. My lunch on Friday was an avocado with bread from home and didn’t have anything else (so no other source). I am very disappointed with their service . It ruined my weekend, I couldn’t go to work today and haven’t been able to eat food during last few days. Never go back there again.
Usually I love eating at Liv-Eat and most of them are great but the one on Liverpool St in Hobart is shocking. Both times I’ve been, I was waiting upwards of 15 minutes before I realised they had forgotten about my simple order and I had to remind them. The first time it happened the lady was lovely an offered me a refund but the second time there was no apology or anything, even after making my order incorrectly. I would avoid this particular store in future.
Been here many times and never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly, often greeting you as you walk in and making conversation with you. The food is great. Love all their different salads. Would definitely recommend.

Vegetarian options
Lots of options for vegetarians.
Dietary restrictions
I have a lot of dietary restrictions and they have always catered for that.
Ordered breakfast burrito and Benedict pide. Although the food came out quick, our burrito and pide were somewhat cold on the inside. The scrambled egg on both orders were definitely cold and was not very pleasant to eat. Ham on pide felt like it just came out of the fridge. We should have let the staff know but we were in a hurry. The smoothies were okay though.

Great experience, we got the grilled bowls, Satay chicken and Asian beef. We also got a tandoori chicken grilled wrap. Everything tasted really good, the wrap being our favourite. Lots of fresh crunchy greens in everything. The kind of food that leaves you feeling good. The fridge had a lot of yummy looking snacks and treats, chia puddings, yoghurts and cut fruits. We tried the fresh juices which the kids loved too.
had chicken salad bowl and burritos.. really nice place for lunch in city, unfortunately no parking options soooo

DEAD EAT NOT LIVE EAT... should be called Dead eat as they pre-juice there juices. I tried to explain that all the goodness goes after a few minutes when you pre-juice in the morning and let it sit in a machine keeping it chilled but one girl serving looked unimpressed and walk off and the other girl was sweet and gave me my requested refund. For $8.50 I can go to Coles for this kind of dead stuff.
Friendly peeps, yummy food - really yummy - not quite as healthy as it seems. Lots of carbs & bacon and pulled pork and breads and corn chips.... Worth a visit though. There's a great open window with bar seating inside and a patio with tables outside, plus two areas inside with ample seating. Great place to meet mates for a bite to eat. I'd definitely go again.
If you are looking for a place to eat that is healthy, fresh and tastes good then this place is just what you are looking for. Every time I eat here I order the burrito bowls and a fresh smoothie. Chai’s are great too. Great menu, healthy options, and friendly staff. It’s shame this Eatery isn’t outside of Tasmania.
The service lady was horriable. I ordered a vegi sandwitch and found a small bacon in it. when i asked the lady how come this bacon is in my sanwitch? she said this just a small bacon! she did not even offer me to make a new one! and i did not ask for refund. but surely not gonna go this place anymore.
While the food was nice, and staff are lovely I was disappointed by the lack of meat in my Chilli Con Carne burrito which was mostly rice and beans. It was a good meal, but not a great meal, not something worth remembering.

I had the quinoa chilli lime salad which had black beans, feta, corn, etc. It was nice and just the right size being one of the smaller salads.

Pricey and very average sandwiches and salads, juice, wraps, soup, coffee with tortuously slow service. The staff are working as quickly as they can, but there is too much going on. They've obviously gone for quantity in terms of what's on offer rather than quality.
Dropped in for lunch. Ordered a burrito, waited for 17 minutes and when I finally gave up and asked where it was - told that they ‘lost the receipt’. They seemed very matter of fact about it and not at all concerned. Got my money back and left - still very hungry!!!
I asked what time e they open in the morning and the staff told me 6am. Sadly he forgot it was Saturday the next morning. I messaged 12 friends to grab brekkie there at 6am before our walk to 3 Capes. Imagine my embarrassment when they all went hungry.
took 15 minutes to get a drink half chunky and 2/3 full. not impressed, they rushed to give it to me and walked off before i could say anything, hospitality skills people.

Vegan Falalfel Bowl I always order the flalfel bowl and its always perfect and juicy. I love the vegan options from the store and the staff is also nice. However the Banana Choc shake was a little bit sweet but it was tasty.
Just came in to correct the review that says best place for vegans, went in and unless you want a smoothie every sandwich and dish has meat and or cheese. So definitely not a good place for vegan options. Staff were nice!
Lots of fresh food here. I decided to go the nachos because, well hey, I didn't want a soup or salad. Was pretty great. But by the time you added jalapeños and guacamole, you've got a pretty expensive lunch.
Poorly managed by the manager.

Went there for breakfast. Coffee was okay, standard price. Mushroom wrap was delicious. Huge range of healthy food options. Open from 6am on weekdays. Comfortable inside seating. Will go there again.
Always good food, always impeccable service, always a decent coffee. Doesn't get much better for a relaxing lunch break! The Pesto pasta and chicken avocado sandwiches are my all time favorites.
We visited Liv Eat at various places in Tassie during our trip, and every time we had a fantastic experience, and a fantastic meal. Lovely people, great food, I wish they were in Melbourne!
Pricey but good food. Service has been a little hit and miss. E.g. Inconsistenty with heating cabornara. Unable to provide receipt. Nothing that would stop me from going back.
As a vegetarian, I like their vegan felafals with avocado. But their range of plant-based food is still pretty limited. There shall be more plant-based sandwhich and toasties.
I really enjoy coming here to have a drink when I finish at the gym and before or after I finish work the staff are really lovely and are always friendly.
Burrito was disgusting and disappointing #regrets. But salads were very nice. Some staff were lovely while others seemed very disinterested and annoyed.
Fresh, healthy, great tasting food served with a smile. Local owned & operated, local produce, supporting local business. That's a lot to be proud of!
Very average experience every time, sometimes the food is fresh and amazing, and sometimes it tastes like it's been there for over a week
Great food and coffee but they don't bring the coffee to the table, even when There are a couple' of people working and it's not busy ;)
They took longer to make a smoothie, than it took to make burger and fries next door at Mr. Burger.

very nice smoothie would've been great with some almond milk though, idk if they have it or not maybe im just boo boo the fool
Not like it used to be, Rice very dry, vegan falafel seemed old, small amout off goodies on top of rice, Turning into subway
Very average, maybe even below. Yes they have vegetarian options but they lack flavour. The cous cous salad was very bland.
Nice healthy food, reasonably well presented but the high price of the bowls don’t match the small serving sizes.
service was horrible took forever to make and roll was gross overall normally a lot better so very dissapointed
Food was great would go back . But the peanut butter smoothy wasn't very peanutie and had a funny plastic oder.
Nice atmosphere and great to go and choose a healthy roll or wrap with my own fillings for a reasonable price.
Breakfast here was lovely.

Came back for the same chicken tandori wrap at the start and end of my trip. Delicious, fresh and filling.
Nice place, good salad choices but vegetarian/vegan choices are limited...friendly and accommodating staff
I'm a regular customer at Liv-eat for lunch during the working week. Always fresh and delicious food.
Had the grilled chicken caeser, was very nice but would have liked some more chicken for the price
Great service, friendly and helpful staff, awesome meals great variety too, and hot/cold drinks.
Perfect on a hot day! Got brain freeze from a deliciously cold raspberry/passionfruit smoothie!
