I sang the praises of this place, until the wedding band purchased for my husband recently disintegrated, basically. We were completely misled by the store manager at the time of purchase about not only the quality of the ring but about how if anything should happen to the ring, especially the gold band, that they would repair it free of charge. It honestly felt like such a positive experience, because my husband truly found his "perfect" ring. After it all but fell apart seven months later, we bring it back expecting the same positive commitment to our customer satisfaction, and the sales clerk all but told us the ring was garbage, that those styles are returned all the time, and they would do nothing about it. Basically confirmed we were duped, and sorry not sorry that your forever ring didn't last longer than seven months. I truly have never had an experience go from wonderful to so deeply upsetting in my life. We basically need to spend ANOTHER huge sum to get him a band somewhere else, and completely lost our initial investment. Take your money elsewhere, where the clerks have integrity upfront, and the jewelry is actually quality. I truly wish I had of read the reviews beforehand, and Michael Hill, save your regurgitated auto-response for someone else, it's as phony and contrived as your thieving staff (whom I don't even fault, because after all, you train them to be that way).

I bought a bracelet on Friday, Dec 8, 2023, for my wife for our wedding anniversary, which is today, Monday, Dec 11, for 750$. That sales lady was nice at first, she tried that bracelet on herself and she tried it, on my daughter as well to see how it looked. They said there is a 30 day bring back warranty on it as well. So today my wife tried it on and unfortunately she didn't really like that bracelet, so we went back to the store and wanted to return it. the same lady who sold me that bracelet, said she needs to talk to the manager and took that bracelet with her to the back, when she came back, she said that bracelet is used and they not gonna take it back because it's used and they take only brand new items back and refused to reimburse me. I talked to the Manger about that and I asked him, is that some kind of a joke because we tried that bracelet on in the store as well obviously it is some what used if people try it on in the store before purchase and he again said the same, it has to be new if you want your money back and refused to reimburse me. I ended up going to another Michael hill store and returned that bracelet with out any problems. Stay away from MICHAEL HILL AT WEST EDMONTONMALL, once you want to return something you just bought, they will send you away and keep your money. That store is a big scam STAY AWAY

Got my engagement ring resized here. I came to pick it up 1 week after the estimated pick up date. I tried calling before I went to pick up and no one answered so I left a voicemail. I went into the store and got ignored by every employee even though I was the only customer in the store. I had to get someone’s attention that I came to pick up my ring, the first person said it wasn’t ready, another person then said it was but it was in a locked box that they couldn’t open and I would need to call and come pack tomorrow. Extremely unorganized, unapproachable, and terrible customer service. Will not be back to this location for repairs, I will get my servicing done at another location in the future.

Purchased their best ring in the store a few years ago. Every visit after that has been horrible. They’re so nice as you’re considering a purchase but as soon as they have your money the customer service level goes to zero. Even asking them to clean the ring worth thousands and thousands of dollars is met with a bad attitude. When purchasing a matching band they lied and sold us one that doesn’t match the ring. Most recently had a negative interaction with the manager Nick who was not willing to lift a finger for me and claimed to not find my account. Too bad so much money was spent here but never again.

Hello, i paid my purchase on Oct 8.2023 and because in the store they didn't have exactly size 8 3/4 inch realy nice ring ( for my wife) salesclerk said, that will done thru 3-5 week. After 5 week i went to the store, asked about it, but response was " wait up to 8 week". ok. Today is Dec.1 2023, but nobody didn' call me yet. What happened? Good service, good stuff at the store, but.. So, today December 15 2023, tomorrow will be 10 weeks, nobody didn't call me back. Why? Finaly , i recieved the ring, today. It was realy happy day. So, i change from 2 to 5 stars my review.Excellent.

wanted to get my fiancés wrist sized for a bracelet and was told they don’t do that at this location, then asked if they had men’s bracelets in store we could buy, got told yes. then we asked if my fiancé could try bracelets on and were told no. associate was beyond rude. do not recommend. we left since she wouldn’t let us try any jewelry on.

Cindy was amazing! She was so helpful with my six year old daughters chain that was purchased as a gift from them. She offered a replacement and was very kind and professional. Great to see their are still people out there who care about the customer. Thank you Cindy!!!

Really sad service , bought this just the other day and the clip broke off. Went back to see about the repair ( $2 piece ) and they wanna charge labour amounting to over $30. So I walked down to the next jewelry location and they did it for free with the $2 piece
