"The COJ website says this is a public park with picnic tables and playground equipment"
"Patton Park is where my little girl plays soccer"
"DO NOT GO HERE! REGULAR JACKSONVILLE RESIDENTS NOT WELCOME!!!!!!! Went here after viewing the site on the COJ website to check it out during the week and were swiftly told that the fields are off limits unless you are a child of one of the families that pays "millions" to keep up the park"
"Literally the one of the worst parks in Jacksonville I've been to over the years, and we go to parks often"
"This is an amazing place to jog play soccer or just have fun "
The COJ website says this is a public park with picnic tables and playground equipment. This is not what you should expect. What it really is? A huge piece of land that they are leasing for use by various sports teams. None of which is open to the public. Then there is a tiny little area to the far right when you drive in with a piece of playground equipment surrounded by overgrowth and tucked in a secluded corner where no one can hear you scream if you are being assaulted. Not a park to bring your kids to so don't pack them in the car and tell them they can run and play at the park. Because all the places to run and play are being used as a for-profit area not as a public park for taxpayers.
Patton Park is where my little girl plays soccer. it is the most rewarding place you can ever go if your child is into exercise, recreation, and loves hanging out with wonderful friends all in one place. It is a great family fun center and a great place to meet new and exciting people. It is also a great time to share with family in a safe peaceful and friendly environment during a time of a covid crisis. we love going to Patton Park and we hope you do too. We enjoy going to exciting places, meeting great people and having great fun and a wonderful time with a wonderful atmosphere and we hope you do too.
DO NOT GO HERE! REGULAR JACKSONVILLE RESIDENTS NOT WELCOME!!!!!!! Went here after viewing the site on the COJ website to check it out during the week and were swiftly told that the fields are off limits unless you are a child of one of the families that pays "millions" to keep up the park. So I asked if it is private. The response, "well no, but you can't be here, so sorry". This park needs to have proper posting instead of an inviting park sign. Btw, there was absolutely no one there. And wasn't this park property donated by the Patton family to the City of Jacksonville to be a Public Park?
Literally the one of the worst parks in Jacksonville I've been to over the years, and we go to parks often. Absolutely an accident waiting to happen.. I plan on going back to take pics & update with why I feel this way.. Steps broken, a knocked down soccer goal, absolutely no shade, all equipment was broken or damaged in one way or another... Definitely do not recommend brining you kids here to play
This is an amazing place to jog play soccer or just have fun . Bathrooms and please know that the back 8 fields are private and not always open the front two are available during park hours , the grounds are nice and kept up wildlife on back trail rabbits and be aware of snakes found a big rat snake on trail . Other than that it's your basic park great for soccer games
The front of Patton Park with Child Play area and soccer fields 10 &11 is open to the Public with parking area and restrooms . The other soccer fields 8, 9, and 10 are restricted and require COJ ( City of Jacksonville ) reservations with usage charges even though Parking is limited to the side of the access road with Portlet Restrooms .
This is the park for Jacksonville Football Club's facilities. The fields are terrific. There should be additional permanent bathroom facilities available. Fields 8 and 9 which are designated for the younger players only has two port-a-potties and no matter the upkeep it tends to get disgusting very quick with the Florida climate.
Patton Park is OK. I do think they could use better signage so that it is easier to find the field that your game in on. They do have bathroom facilities. They could benefit from some shaded area near the soccer field. I do like this location because of its proximity to the beach. After a game you can cool off in the ocean.
Horrible! Park is in the dark woods, parking is a nightmare for everyone who cares about their car. Parking slots at the fields are only available if you drive a stief hill down (wothout a truck a absolutely no go). had to do it twice and had a flat tire afterwards. In addition, bugs are killing you
Went for a walk today at 6:30pm, and they told me, I have to leave because they are closing the park for tonight. When I asked, don't you guys close at 9, he responded by saying, it's because it's the weekend. That's strange because even their own website says 8am to 9pm everyday.
Patton park is an awesome park. There's not an actual kids play area with slides and swings. Patton park is mostly made up of sports fields. Soccer to be exact. Parking is ample. There are restrooms and sometimes food trucks will park out here and serve the general public.
Great setup with soccer fields spread around to different areas with separated parking. The issue is field conditions. Grass was very sparse and dried out, and tons of sand on the field. Needs major rehabilitation to be a quality playing surface.
Well kept and maintained. Plenty of parking and some bleachers on certain fields. I had a nice time watching my friend's son and daughter play soccer. Some fields you park off the entryway, still leaving plenty of room for drivers
Great fields. VERY well maintained. Although we lost 8-7 to the Jacksonville Armada (which is GREAT), I really enjoyed the sportsmanship of the Armada. Whenever someone would fall, an Armada player would help them up.
The story of Avalon Beverly Gutter, She like soccered when she was like 7 and she states , "love the quality of the fields, the pitch really deserves some love and I'm here to give it to the GAME
Cool historic place. Seems a bit repetitive after a while, but loaded with interesting facts and plaques. If you love history and haven't been you will enjoy it. Gorgeous photos are waiting!
7 nicely maintained soccer fields with restrooms. Main field has stadium/ bleacher seating. It was great to have a food truck on site during our soccer tournament for MLK Jr Weekend.
Beautifully, well kept soccer fields! The playground is sad and we don't go here for that. Parking is TERRIBLE and a mess on busy game days.
Decent fields. Easy to navigate and well organized. The restroom facilities leave much to be desired but otherwise a good park for soccer.
Great place for the soccer ⚽️ games but to the organizers please bring a food trucks or some other alternative to buy food or drinks
We love Patton Park! Great place to build new friendships and learn how to be a team! It's always so clean and well kept up with!
Excellent manicured fields, but private park only for members of JFC - soccer/football league of the Jacksonville Football Club.
Not enough parking and some of the soccer fields are dirt piles. Kids could play better if they weren't falling from the dirt.
My Grandson scored a soccer goal from 40+ feet out. Tampa Bay won. Patton Park will always be remembered fondly. Go Rowdies!!!
Really solid soccer park with some nice sculptures. Not a pro level field or anything, but decent for the kids to play on.
There are plenty of fields here with youth league play during the week and weekends. It's clean and well taken care of ..
Super spacious and perfect for multiple teams at once act but they need bathrooms! Especially for the little kids!!
The grounds in the front park area haven't been cared for in months!! So overgrown and buggy. Looks deserted
We were here for our grandsons soccer game, had a great time, nice breeze, bring your own chair or blanket.
Stadium, fields are nice, really well done, music during the tournament was a nice touch, kids loved it.
I like Patton Park It's nice and I like the soccer fields ⚽️ Nice for kids too …
Good soccer facilities, although the park in the front does not get the care that the back fields get.
Nice soccer complex. Lots of parking but needs more restrooms for the amount of people they host...
13 fields altogether were well maintained, with some bath rooms & concessions available sometimes.
Well maintained soccer fields with plenty of parking, and nearby plenty of stores and restaurants.
The Goldenchild had a soccer game here... Ancient City Soccer versus.....a Jacksonville team!
Very nice field... Parking for fields 12 and 13 were kind of a headache, but not too bad...
Could be easier for pirate time users but once you know the map, great spot for some ⚽️
Best soccer facility in North Florida - plenty of parking space and nice restrooms.
The covered area was so nice and cool to watch our kids play soccer today!
nice park..only fields 10 and 11 are public.. rest are for club soccer
I had fun watching soccer games after long time. Nice place …
It's a soccer field! It's fine. Been going there for many years.
Great place to play soccer. The playground it’s very nice.
Great soccer fields, consession stand and clean bathrooms.
good park but need more lights at the field near woods
The park and restrooms were clean and well maintained.
Pretty nice park. Great flat place to play soccer.
Nearly perfect field, and Great parking
Fields were so green and well kept!!!
Very nice park and clean restrooms!
Dirty, unkept, filthy #SanfordNson
