I’ve gotten used to softer leather boots like Danners but tired of the short life on those. I spent hours at 2 other stores without finding anything at all. I bought a pair here which turned out to be not the right fit. I brought them back to make an exchange and it was no problem. I ended up with a pair of style 202, which are made of pretty rugged leather but once broken in, should be perfect. A lot of the Red Wing catalog is not for everyone. But they carry so many different types of shoes here, so if you don’t mind spending bigger money on footwear, you’re unlikely to leave without finding something. They are famous for work boots but they also have westerns, formal and comfort shoes. Mostly all of them are pretty attractive. Not all their shoes are made equally, or have the same warranties, so do some research before going in. The staff has always been very proactive, quick and helpful. I’ve run the gamut and I can tell you that this Red Wing location is one of the best shoe stores in the metro when it comes to service.

This Red Wings Shoes location is absolutely great. The customer service was exceptional. The staff was very helpful, inviting, accommodating and just all around friendly. They made sure to greet and help anyone that came in, as they came in. They'll size you to make sure you have the right fit. They have a great selection of Red Wings Shoes, Heritage, Irish Setter. Options include dress, hiking, casual and work. I definitely recommend this location to family, friends, co-workers and anyone that needs great quality boots. The setup was very convenient . The Red Wings care kit is a must buy, it will keep your Red Wings in superb condition for years to come. If you don't already own a pair of Red Wing boots you really need to get a pair.

I only saw one employee, but I hear that three people work there. She was a helpful woman, but a stickler on rules. My boyfriend works for the railroad, and every year he gets a voucher for a pair of shoes, he already has a bunch of work boots, so he was going to get me a pair of work boots to wear when I'm around his farm. And the lady would not let us pick any boots for me, just because his name was on the paper, even though nowhere on this voucher paper does it say that the boots have to be for him. We won't be going there again for me to get some boots, next time he gets a voucher for a pair of shoes we're just going to order from Justin boots online.

Large selection of shoes and boots, crazy large! Can also order others that may not be on display. They have safety shows for factory and construction, etc. Great staff who work hard to find just the right item. They have a computerized shoe size machine. Stand in a little area and it scans your feet, no sliders or such. Shows where you put pressure on your feet, if you would benefit from inserts, etc. A great store but they are quite expensive, might check it out online first before you go to the store and get sticker shock.

You're lucky to get a year out of them. I've had mine for right at a year, and the side blew out. I had just bought another pair for my brother in July. But honestly, that will be the last one I ever buy. I went to the store, and the employee told me that after talking to her manager, there was nothing they could do. Well.....there is something that I can do, and that is never buy another product from Red Wing again. And I recommend that you don't either.

Went to grab a pair of boots, and was told from a coworker to come here if you have problems with your feet. First time I went in, I told them what I was looking for, they asked me to step on the machine which shows where you put all you weight at and pair them with insoles along with a boot. Ended up with a King Toe. 7 months later and pain free with the boot still holding up. Would recommend coming here for your next boot.

The staff was EXCELLENT!! Even though we didn't make a sale tonight, I couldn't be more Impressed with how the staff informed me of our options on their great products! Went in looking for the Pecos boot, nail set, if it was still available. I may still order these, but I found a lace-up boot that I think fits my old feet better and are a little more tractable for my arthritic hands to pull on over those old feet. Look good, feel ok (I know there is a little wear-in period which may wait until 100 degree days are over). And they smell good.

This is the worst place ever!!! I've NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE stolen anything... this place makes you feel like they are watching you every second!! Not to help you just seeing if I'm stealing anything in this small store. I will never buy from this location ever!! Dont care if they are giving stuff away I will not be back...

I’ve worked at the same place for 17 years, and I’ve bought every pair of my work boots from this store. I had an issue with the last pair, and they went above and beyond to make it right. Thank you to the lady that helped me!! I will continue to go here for my work boots, and I always refer people to this store.

Went to the Red Wing in Independence and they didn't have my size. Went to the one on Vivion to get them and they nearly put my boots on for me. Great staff that sells a great product. Check out their boot care products as well as they have a great selection and are knowledgeable about their products.

On 1/25/22 I picked up my new 3D custom arch supports from the store. I can say I'm blessed to have relief after 2021 my foot doctor office ( molded sitting down) messed up my custom arch supports. Red wings arch supports were cheaper & accurate to my feet ( molded standing up). THX AGAIN …

Drove all the way from Topeka to get to this specific store, Matt was great to work with. He worked with me to resolve some issues that came up with one of my boots until I was completely satisfied. I will be buying from him from here on out. Only wish he owned a store in Topeka!

Really enjoyed my first visit to the company store. The young lady who helped me was really patient and more than understanding of what I was looking for. The cost is a little high but based on previous reviews they should be worth every penny.

The person is very enthusiastic about selling you a pair of boots. I assume anyone entering already knows what they want and will walk out with boots in under 10 minutes. Going in for information, fit and feel wasn't realistic.

Very knowledgeable staff and they were super easy to work with to get a gift card and exchanging shoes. One thing to note is that a gift card only works for this location. You cannot buy online with the gift card.

I needed high quality, durable work boots. This is the place to find such a product. The initial cost could be shocking for the uninitiated, but when you consider how long they last, it is a very good investment.
