This is hands down the best veterinary experience I have had in 7 years of owning a dog in San Francisco. Key differences: 1) Ease of appointment scheduling online! Not to mention the option of same day appointments in a city where you typically have to wait 7+ hours for urgent vet care gives me so much peace of mind. 2) The level of attention and care is unparalleled! Dr. Pal and the team do not rush their appointments, taking care to answer every question I have. They even called me several times to check in on my dog after a procedure- an experience I have never had! They’re also incredibly thoughtful about pain management, which is a huge relief and it made a world of a difference for my dog too. 3) It’s local and family-owned, which means no huge organization where your precious pet is just another number. You can tell they truly love animals and take a lot of pride in their work. I am so happy to have finally found a place I can trust to bring my dog- I couldn’t recommend it enough!

We recently took our 2-year-old goldendoodle to South Park Animal Hospital, and it has been by far the best experience visiting a veterinary hospital. Starting with Dr. Pal, an absolute wonder, we are so grateful for her ethical practice and kind heart. She carefully examined my dog and did not rush the appointment. She is attentive, experienced, honest, kind, and highly knowledgeable, and she truly cares about each pet that walks through her doors. As for the staff, they are just as pleasant, welcoming, sweet and took such good care of my furry baby. Sachin and Katie were super friendly and made sure I understood the doctor's recommendation for different ointments and medicines. Lauren at the front desk was very kind to squeeze me in for the same day appointment. The facility is clean, and everyone is exceptionally professional, caring, and loving. We would highly recommend this hospital for your furry babies.

I have been with South Park Animal Hospital since it opened and I very highly recommend them. The staff is accessible, knowledgable, responsive, very helpful and very friendly, and the facilities are first rate. In this particular instance, I had been working with them over a couple of months to identify different approaches to the application of heartworm/flea/tick medication to our puppy, but however we administered the pill our puppy continued to have very bad reactions to it. The likely cause of the problem was diagnosed as a sensitive GI tract and they worked with the manufacturer of the medicine to come up with a new plan tailored to our puppy’s condition. This took a couple of weeks and during that time they diligently kept on top of the process and identified a better approach which they thoroughly explained to me and which I have now successfully adopted.

Dr. Pal, Katie, and the entire team were so kind, caring and gentle with my dog. I have an older dog who gets really nervous when she goes to the doctor and they made sure my dog felt comfortable. I really enjoyed the personalized drawing of my dog that welcomed us! Dr. Pal is very knowledgeable and took the time to answer each of my questions and concerns about my dog's health. She was transparent in how much everything would cost beforehand, which I really appreciated. My dog has some health concerns and Dr. Pal was very prompt in getting the test results to me and communicating the next steps. I have been to a lot of veterinary clinics through the years and I can honestly say that South Park Animal Hospital is one of the best! My dog is my family and they treated her as such. I am so thankful to have found them!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Pal, Saachin, and all the other amazing technicians and staff at SPAH❤️ it is my pup’s first time doing surgery and I was SO nervous about it. Dr Pal made sure all my concerns were addressed leading up to the surgery. On surgery day, I called these folks like every hour while my pup was on the table. They were always there. Not only did they gave my pup the best care, they also went above and beyond to make sure our post-surgery care was comprehensive. Every single person I met at the office truly care for the animals they treat , and are deeply empathetic with what pet parents (esp a worrywart like me) are going through. I am so glad I found this practice and chose them to perform TPLO on my pup. Thank you Dr Pal and team!

They are the best! The entire team is very warm welcoming and they are always available when we call to ask random emergency — we called when our puppy started throwing up in the morning (which turns out to be fine), when she jumped off the bed and started limping (which also turned out to be fine) but overall they have been by our side since we got our first puppy and frantically call them whenever things happen. They never overcharge / oversell on treatments either. They are great with communications and remind us for any upcoming vaccinations! I only have good things to say about South Park Animal Hospital and I’m so happy we live nearby.

I never typically write reviews and I wanted to make sure to write one for SPAH because they are so incredible!! Our dog needed an emergency procedure because of a foxtail and we called them because they are so close to us. It was 10 minutes before they were closing on a Saturday and the owner offered to stay later to take care of our pup. We weren't even officially patients at this vet yet and they went out of their way to make sure everything was ok. They were great about following up afterwards and made us feel very supported and cared about. We of course permanently switched to this vet and think everyone else should too!! Thanks SPAH!!

Very happy with Dr. Pal, her team, and this vet office. We brought my kitten to South Park right after adoption, to check her wellness and keep her vaccine regimen on track. I appreciate everyone’s thoughtful care and also transparency/options for continuing care. We learned together that my kitten was not in fact spayed - and I’m grateful for the quick and minimally invasive approach taken here. The after care has been equally responsive and responsible. Easy to make appointments online or by phone. And also simple to get responses via email. The front office is uber pleasant - very soothing when dealing with kitten foibles and concerns!

Dr Pal and crew are fantastic. My chonk is getting older and needed a full work up. They clearly explained what is best vs nice to have and the associated pricing ahead of time. I elected to go with best+nice since the pricing was very fair! Outside of good business practices, you can tell everyone there cares about each animal and they ensure cats are quickly escorted to a private room as soon as they arrive to help decrease stress. On top of all this, everybody on the staff is nice and patient with us humans. 10/10 recommend.

This is a wonderful veterinary practice! I was able to get an appointment same day for my dog’s excessive licking. The warm reception we received was so reassuring and the welcome sign for Finnegan was the icing on the visit. The practice is very professional, Dr. Lau was very engaged with my boy and explained very clearly the issues and solutions that should be made for Finnegan. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. I would recommend this practice for your veterinary care…you will not be disappointed.

I brought my cat here and had such a great experience. The staff is super friendly and made sure my cat had as little stress as possible and did not rush the appointment. They made sure my cat was up to date on all his vaccines and educated me on what the next steps are and what was best for him. Dr. Pal is an amazing doctor and I will be bringing Kasper here from now on. They also had a cute drawing of my cat with a greeting before the appointment which was a really nice touch :)

Dr Pal has been my pets' veterinarian for over ten years. She is an excellent veterinarian, and she also make sure your pets feel comfortable during their visit. I am very happy for Dr. Pal to have her own veterinarian hospital. She is very committed and has a passion for treating all our furry pets. The best vet I've ever taken my dog to. The doctor explained the treatment well and took time to communicate with my dog to help him relax. My dog suddenly became unwell on the way back home, and the doctor took care of the situation quickly with no extra charge. A very professional, kind, and thoughtful doctor. Highly recommended.

Great experience! We're from the neighborhood and greatly appreciate the opportunity to count with this team so nearby. Uma was very relaxed during the check-up (and she's usually scared of vets) and that was, in my opinion, one of the most important confirmations on their expertise.

We have been taking our cats and dogs here and are very satisfied with South Park Animal hospital. They are very helpful in identifying issues, clear in solutions and are available when you need them. We got our dog’s dental surgery done here and our dog has never felt better!

Our dog Mary Jane had a great visit. She’s very anxious at the vet and they were terrific with her. The hospital treated our almost 15 year old dog with kindness and compassion in her last days.
