I do not usually take the time to write a review but I was so disgusted with the service I received or “didn’t” receive that I thought this review may in some way help someone in the future or help the store troubleshoot how to fix the problem. I was trying h to purchase a range hood that Lowe’s could not get without ordering and taking 10-14 days to receive. I was doing a kitchen remodel and needed quickly as we were almost finished up. So I got online and to my surprise it said that the Home Depot in Madison Tn had one. I happen to be in Madison with my daughter who was having surgery the next day so I purchased the range hood online and it was 7pm so I drove directly over to pick up. When I got to the store the person asked had I received my email to come and pick up. I told her I had not but since it was almost closing time I thought it to be a good idea. She said let me call back and see if they’ve pulled it yet. I waited and waited .... nothing. I told her I was stepping into the nursery to look at a plant and I’d be right back. When I came back still no answer and there were 4 employees standing there. One of which was employee of the month ( the one finding an answer for me). Finally someone called back again and the range hood did not even exist! So they look online and the store down the road a few miles is “showing online “ that they have 3. So some gentlemen who began to see I was growing frustrated with the lackadaisical attitude of the clerks called the other store and no such range hood exist in store there either. I had picked out flowers to purchase and I just told the clerk to please issue a refund ( which she could have been doing for the 45 mins I stood there) and she began ringing up the flowers. I was so disgusted by that point I couldn’t bring myself to even stand there and buy anything from the store. Literally an hour and a half start to finish wasted!!! Get it together Lowe’s!!! Your online ordering system and inventory needs help!!!

Employees are clueless as to the products they have on hand and where products are located within the store. Twice this month, we have been in and both times left frustrated. On 12/2/16, we needed a shower curtain and couldn't find them. Asked a female employee and she said that they were in a particular isle, went right where she told us - house curtains?! Found the same employee and told her what we found...She replied well then I don't know what to tell you??? On the same trip, we also needed scissors (now, granted I doubted they actually had them - but thought I would ask), asked an employee if they had plain household scissors? He said sure we do, took us over to hand tools, stops at the metal shears and asked if this is what we needed? SMH in total disbelief! Then on 12/26/16, went back to see about a book shelf/case. Don't carry them, have to order. Asked about those temporary screens that you can put in doorways (see them on TV all the time), one employee knew exactly what we were talking about but didn't know if they had them. So he asked another employee that happened to be sitting at the desk in the door and window area, that employee looked it up on his computer and said he would have to order it. No problem... Until my WIFE found literally a dozen of the exact same item we were looking for two rows away from the damn desk!!! Needless to say that if we need anything else for our home - we won't be going to THIS Home Depot!!

I went in to get some paint for my outdoor shutters. And all the questions I had for the person they were able to help me make an informed decision. Now when I get ready to do the inside of the house I will know where to go with confidence. Home Depo gives you the confidence that you can handle any project on the weekend. But you do have to know your limits and I mean is it worth your time. I find that most paint jobs take at least 2 coats of paint. One coat is just to say you painted and the second coat is to make the look like you really don't want to paint this for another 15 to 20yrs.. Trust me these housing entities want you to paint every 5 yrs. But if you put on the paint that is used in kitchen's so they don't leave finger prints (get a semi glossy or matte finish) that will save you some time and money. I say this from experience. The home industry want us out renovating every 5 yrs.. What ever renovation's you want try and buy it on sale or discontinued stuff that will save you money. I have been in the housing Industry for about 33yrs.. When you get a raise you might want to put it towards some renovation's. Hit the major stuff first like Roof's (insurance company will help you with that) some people say your HVAC (can be an insurance claim check with your insurance company). Always start from the top first and work on the outside first then come in.

Extremely poorly managed store in Madison TN. Corporate please demote him to a job worthy of his incompetence. Staff is also completely incompetent and can't even place orders. They don't know the inventory and don't know where anything is located. Your better off ignoring the staff when they ask if they can help you because you'll only get frustrated when you say yes and they can't. Spent over $20k here in the month of November. I wish I'd spent it somewhere else. Especially if the manager gets bonuses for sales because that guy deserves a pay cut and smack to the side of his head with a clipboard. They messed up one of my kitchen appliance orders 4 times! I finally canceled the order. I emailed the manager to vent my frustrations and he ignored the email. I followed up the ignored email calling him out telling him I'm contacting corporate and then he apologized. He also offered to help me resolve my problems with the appliance order. I responded to that and he ignored me again. He's as incompetent as his staff. He leads by example and that's why a majority of his employees are incompetent. I don't fault them. If they had an adequate leader they would be more efficient. I'm shopping at Lowes and online in the future. I don't need the additional stress and frustration that always coincides with shopping at this Home Depot.

I was very unsatisfied with the entire delivery experience. It was around 8:30 pm when my delivery arrived and when I talked to the delivery driver he had a very awful attitude towards me. I asked him if he was having a good day and he said that if I couldn’t tell no he wasn’t having a good day. I was shocked with his response but I told him I hope it would get better and he said give me 5 minutes and he would be gone. He connected the dryer and told me that the reason it did not work was because of the breaker box so I had my maintenance team come out and they tested the voltage and showed me I had a very strong voltage connection so it would have to be the dryer. I called and reported the dryer and they told me the closest time for someone to come look at my dryer would be almost 2 weeks away and then they would have to order a replacement and I would have to wait an additional 2 weeks to get a new one. This is very unacceptable when I’ve spent thousands of dollars. The delivery crew was very unprofessional and I will never purchase another product from Home Depot.

While the cashiers and employees, in general here are very friendly, my future business will be solely at Lowe's. We purchase $1300 worth of carpet and had them do the installation. they guaranteed that the installation would be done within 7 days of placing a order. The next day I received an email saying that they had scheduled us for installation nearly two weeks after we placed the order. I went back in the store to talk to a manager and figure out why they scheduled us two weeks out when we were guaranteed installation within 7 days. I spoke with a manager named Dolores who is the overall store manager. She wasnt very helpful, in fact she acted like I was bothering her and she didn't have time to speak with me. Told me she would look into it and get back with me. I had to OFFER HER my name and contact information. She refused to discount the product or the services. I still haven't heard anything from them nor do I expect to. Lesson learned and customer lost!!

H.D. sucks even more now, The employees just walk in circles killing time and DON'T KNOW A DARN THING ABOUT ANYTHING IN THE STORE, EXCEPT THE ELECTRICAL GUY, HE KNOWS THE ENTIRE STORE. I go to LOWE'S mainly, however h.depot is closer so at times I think well, I just pop in h.depot for something simple such as SOLAR BATTERIES!!!! LOLOL, I ASKED 2 EMPLOYEES ABOUT THEM AND THEY STILL ARE CLUELESS!!! I FOUND THEM!!!! Home Depot is all about the corporate office and they control the store from the corporate, time before that the MANAGER HAD TO GO GET WHAT I NEEDED,THAT TOOK OVER 20 MINUTES ON TOP OF MY PRIOR 30 MINUTES LOOKING FOR WHAT WAS PUT ON THE WRONG SHELF!!!!!!! AHHH IT WAS ACID FOR CONCRETE!!! WHICH SHOULD BE STORED OUTSIDE!!!! BEING ON A TOP SHELF IS NOT THE SMARTEST PLACE TO PUT IT,IF IT WERE KNOCKED OVER OR LEAKED SOMEONE COULD BE SERIOUSLY HURT, DEFINITELY LOSS OF EYE SIGHT AND DISFIGUREMENT IF THAT ACID CAME IN CONTACT WITH THEM!! ALL ABOUT THE $$$$✌️

Okay contractors and contractor employees of home Depot I get it you're tired of all of the contractors that come through the store with the stories of what's broken and how they need this and that but my goodness if you see someone clearly looking for something that obviously needs your assistance with then help them if you don't want to be at your job again I say this all the time don't be there you are a waste of that company's time do what you love it makes it easier for all of us I'm not a plumber and I needed help I ended up buying one of everything because I wasn't sure and no one wanted to help me they all just kept walking clearly don't love their job I love mine it makes life so much better probably will not go back into this home Depot or any home Depot for that matter I'll have to stick with Lowe's or even Ace hardware actually Ace hardware has always assisted me when I've needed their help very friendly anyone I've ever gone into in fact

I waited for almost 30 minutes just to be helped and when someone finally showed up nothing was said about having me stand there forever. He was incredibly condescending. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but upon returning the trailer the service was even worse. There were plenty of employees but they were standing around the corner talking and laughing. I walked over the sensor setting off the bell once more in case they were unsure if they heard the bullhorn like loudness the first time. Approaching me as if I were burdening their good time the service just continued to be something I wished I could stand and flush away (if you know what I mean). I rarely give bad reviews and hate doing it so I won’t Karen on. Let me just say - I didn’t even name the worst of it. 10/10 would not recommend. Mid-South Equipment Rental is fantastic if you’ve got one in your area. Definitely try anywhere else first.

With rapidly increasing frequency Home Depot does not have what I need when I need it. I -always- check the app to see if what I need is in stock before driving so that I don’t waste my time. This is no longer effective. I needed to replace a specific tool, checked the inventory of the nearest location. It said they had -13-. They had none. Checked the next nearest location. They supposedly had -11- They had none. I spent an hour I didn’t really have. Home Depot wasted my time. This is not the first time I have experienced this. I mentioned it to the sales associate and he said flatly “many of our customers steal from us”. I am a customer, or at least I would have been. Now I am making it a point to shop where they don’t blame customers for their consistent inability to manage their inventory accurately.

This isn't the workers fault, but shopping online and trying to do a store pickup is terrible! What was the workers' fault was insisting I had all my items when I clearly didn't. I placed two orders: One was easily found, while the other seemed to be shoved away and filed in a fashion that it would've never been found w/o persistence of the customer service rep and myself. My goal was to stop relying on Amazon for my home shopping and repair needs. However, Amazon is where I wound up due to Home Depot's app not informing me that items that clearly had an aisle numbers listed weren't actually available or even sold in-store. The only way to cancel said order is to wait the two weeks (!?) until it gets to the store.

Unlike other stores this one Has never done me wrong iv been to 2 different home depots and 2 different lowes between madison and my job site in the last year to get lumber cut this one was no trouble never had to wait on someone for more then 2 minutes and best cuts iv seen from a home depot. Today I bought a 48 inch magnetic level that I have been trying to find for 3 days while they were out of stock along with every store in 70 miles for some reason, when I called this morning the man said he had one but it was still being unloaded from a truck but to come in. These guys looked everywhere for this level and got it out of the back for me with smiles on their face the whole time never going anywhere eles again.

Would have been 5 stars but when I bought my $900 Box they decided I guess why not well just load this heavy thing by hand. So LUCKILY I pack all my tools in my truck for any situation like such.. and still don't understand why they didn't get their forklift to load the box.. other than that, Good tool selection, 4 Men and out Allen wrench impact got it loaded on my pickup.. and all is well... Organization is OK but In the Toolbox area it was the best toolbox selection so far out of 2 lowes locations and 3 different Home Depots... Only issue was 2 forklifts(Which ee could have used..) were blocking each end of the isle to roll the toolbox out. THANKS. Again to the 2 guys to help load us up.

It was difficult for us to find straight 2×4 lumber. The home depot must choose one of the two following options: either reduce the price of the lumber they have because the quality is not that high, or, they have to replace the lumber they sell by a higher quality lumber for the the same price. It is quite a bit of burden to spend long time checking each and every lumber you want to buy. I understand that we might be required to check the wood before we buy it but not like the case in this particular branch. Other than this detail, this store us a very food one.

We have shopped this location for about twenty years, and have spent thousands of dollars. In the past year, this location has hit rock bottom. You cannot find help when needed, and many of those that are there make it clear that they cannot be bothered, and really do not value you as a customer. I planned to replace appliances but after the treatment I recently received from employees at this location I took my money elsewhere. I do not recommend that you shop at this location, and highly encourage management to turn this store around before it is too late.

Nice, clean and organized. I had no trouble finding an employee to help me out; instead of telling me which isle, I was walked to the exact product I needed. From the back of the store, to the outside greenhouse area and up front to the cashier, each employee went out of their way to help me!* Nov. 2021; not sure what's going on, but due to some type of construction, a large portion of the parking lot is taped off. There were just a couple of handicap spots that were available due to this. * Since I am disabled I appreciate this more then they know!

Delivery person nocked over our stone wall, denied it and then when asked for his insurance info refused to give it to us. When we told him we were filling a police report he got in the truck and took off without delivering our fridge! Go to the store to ask about insurance all they want is to reschedule the delivery. Ask for a refund and told they couldn’t since the fridge was out for delivery. No concern for responsibility for property damage just about the sale. Could barely get out of them who does their deliveries. So much for customer service.

We placed an order for lumber and concrete and were told to return in 2 hours. We returned and were told that the order was just getting started and to return in 2 more hours. Now at our 3rd visit werew told that the order had not been started and it "may' be 48 hours. The lumber guy hapoenha to walk but and was asked if he knew if the order was started. He saod no. He said he could start but wouldn't be done by the time they closed (1 hour).... Writing this review before returning to see if order is available. Will uodate.

Had to look forever to find help. The guy that was helping me cut wood acted like he had more important things to do (like sweeping). He got very impatient with me when I tried to make sure my numbers were right before cutting the wood. When I asked him where an item was he didn't know and yet gave me five aisles I should check to find my item (was not on any of those aisles by the way). I can say the only good thing about this place was the greeter. He was a very nice man. I rather go the extra few miles and go to Lowes.

2 stars because ordering online was easy and the reps on the phone were kind and calm when I was very frustrated. I just cancelled my order due to a delivery day glitch. They only deliver Monday and Wednesdays. I tried to change on Sunday and they don’t work Sundays and even though I was trying to schedule a new day, I had to wait 2 days to set up new date. 2 weeks later!!! I just and got same washer and dryer from Lowe’s and it will be delivered tomorrow. Nice team but the delivery is not a good experience.

Update: very busy location maybe due to lockdowns and food prices going up. Saw lots of people buying materials for own garden... lack of staff makes the trip a little longer with so many shoppers. They do have everything you need... no supply chain issues here Your typical home depot which has everything you need for home improvement projects. They have a large rental equipment section with backhoe, stump remover, wood splitter and others available for rental. Other items are like any other home depot store

Wow, never knew a company could actually train people so bad. Their employees didn't know how to find caulk, didn't know the difference between silicone and caulk and also had no idea how to ring up the products. Advertising is the only reason that they have a foothold in the industry. It's certainly not prices or knowledge. Also, an employee shirt said "Doing more for veterans" I know a veteran that was fired for treating his PTSD. This company harms veterans. Please stop supporting them.

Rude customer service no stars. Walked in no one greeted us. We looking around for the some headphones and we had to stop someone to ask when we already had three home Depot walked by. I want to say Thank You to Ms Jackie who actually stopped and ask me if I need any help with anything. I told her no because what I was looking for was not available in the store. I knew what I needed and went. I needed two cuts made on a board I was purchasing. I spoke with six different associates who all said they would get somebody to come help me. I then called Home Depot while I was standing by the saw and spoke with somebody after waiting 5 minutes on the phone on hold. They told me they could get me a manager and they knew I was waiting. They transferred me to a number that rang and then went back on hold again. Nobody ever came and helped me.

I stood at the key center and watched about eight employees passed me by over and over as I try to get help. I realize that they are short staffed but I also saw them standing around talking laughing and cutting up knowing that I needed help because I had already asked two different employees and an overhead page was made twice. I normally have nothing but good things to say about this specific location I love this location but I was not impressed this evening

I went in to get me and my husbands first Christmas tree since we moved to Nashville, they were all out of the one I could afford even though their website said they had 2. I was obviously disappointed at first but Kim and Nick approached me and helped me and my husband find the perfect tree! They made my Christmas wish come true and they were so friendly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you so much Home Depot!

We stood there for I know a good 20 min asking every employee we seen for help to get a mini fridge off the shelf we asked a total of 6 employee's finally the last one got someone over there for us to find out it was the first employee I asked for help then the mangers both of the ones we delt with were very unprofessional and rude and did not care about any of our concerns.they had rather us take our business and money elsewhere.

I love going to HD, ALWAYS have. Only complaint is every time I go there to check on flooring I have to go to customer Serv to ask them to send some to flooring (no one ever shows up) or if an employee comes by and I stop them and ask them about a rep in the flooring dept. They try and find one. Finally, yesterday I was able to speak to someone in that dept and got my answers. That is the only reason I gave them 4 stars.

Went to get wood and supplies to build our porch and had such a great experience. Dominique (spelling?), Patrick and Jordan took about 45 minutes out of their day to help pick out, load, and unload concrete and all of the lumber. Patrick then noticed one of our trailer tires was low and put air in it for us so we could safely make it home. 10/10 service. 10/10 pricing. 10/10 quality of employees. Thanks y’all!

Went in late tonight! to get keys made,,...And i could tell it was the end of the day for everyone,,The lady that checked us out was Wonderful! smiled and chatted, I could tell she just wanted to go home and put her feet up! (I felt her pain!!) I also work with the public! Her name was Kelly...the sweetest lady in the store! She represents Home Depot very well! I'm glad I got to meet her! she made my evening!

We were there early in the day and helpful staff gave us much needed answers. Although one item we wanted was unavailable for delivery, rather than dissatisfied by not getting it soon, we were told straight away by their system. Other store made us a promise they could not keep. We had to go back for refund. So picked out a different one that should be delivered soon outstanding customer service all the way.

Had some items on pickup that I didn't realize had been opened until I got home (it was a box of face masks, had been opened and half were missing). After leaving a negative review on the survey they sent, the store manager got in contact with me and was very kind and gave a refund. I wasn't going to make a fuss since it was an inexpensive purchase, but I appreciate the follow-up and professionalism.

Keith in paint and the assistant manager at this store should be fired and should not work in customer service. Both are the most rude customer facing representatives I have ever encountered in a Home Depot. They acted like we were a waste of their time the entire time we were trying to get paint. Upon being questioned about what the darkest black was Keith replied “it’s black it doesn’t matter”.

I couldn't find stove as advertised so I asked for help. Employee called manager and manager said they would be right there to help. Waited for 15 minutes but nobody ever came to assist. There were other customers that also needed help. So we left. I guess we will spend our money somewhere else. When we got to our car we saw the other customers leaving too. Without purchasing anything.

Called ahead and reserved the 50 ft towable they said they would hold it for me, took me 20 minutes to get there from White House to get there to pull in and see them renting it out to someone else. When I told them I had called and reserved it, the guy said to me that I didn't call his co-worker, she confirmed that I did. Piss poor people wasting customers time and fuel.

I started a home project painting and OMG it looked a mess. I went in and let me tell you I had the best customer service experience ever. His name was Noel and he literally looked at my pictures and walked me through how to fix the problem step by step! He even refused my tip. I thought excellent customer service was in the past. Clearly not because of people like Noel.

My husband and I went to home depot to buy a grill. Smh, this young boy named James did not want to help us load it, and the whole time my husband was trying to put it in. He was on the phone. Got it home and it didn't have a ignition switch. Took it back and he said oh I forgot to check it. I normally shop at Lowes but my husband wanted the grill at home depot

My husband went to this Home Depot to get a quote on cabinets for a client, and the lady that was working in the kitchen department, told him that she had somewhere to be in 10 minutes. Very lousy customer service!! I understand employees have issues that may need immediate attention; however, go the extra mile to get someone else to assist the customer!

I bought the Z1 Cub Cadet Zero Turn 50' and from the time I arrived and started looking, it was pure service. I dealt with 7 people during the process. I had decided on a John Deere with one big walk away, if it sported a Briggs, because a pro I trust said get a Kawasaki or Koehler engine, your long term experience will be much better with those engines.

The lady that worked in the area covering weed trimmers was super helpful even with my many questions. I was very thankful for all she did concerning the equipment that took attachments and none of them were familiar to me. She was a great help. The guy from tool rental helped a lot too. I greatly appreciate this store and this location in particular.

Larry in the Paint Dept is the MOST knowledgeable person in the entire store. Every project he's helped me with had turned out absolutely amazing. And it's not all about paint. He offers sound advice about many products/projects and so far he's never been wrong. We need more Larry's but I have a feeling he's one of a kind. Thanks Larry!!!!

Keith in paint is the most miserable employee I have ever encountered. I was getting paint matched and his attitude was like he was doing me a favor by interacting with me a customer. If you don’t want to work here that’s fine but you don’t have the right to treat customers of home depot as if they are bothering you for needing a service.

Spent time picking put flowers. Sale signs were up when we went into store. When we were going to check out signs were gone. Wouldn't give us the sale prices. Said sale ended yesterday this was in the afternoon today. Customers shouldn't have pay for there mistakes. Left without flowers and took business to else. Never again.

Look. Im a plumbing contractor. We over buy on certain items so we have what we need under a house. Sometimes packages get dirty in the process. To not take returns because a fitting or bag is dirty is bad business. Went to the home depot down the road and got excellent service. Fix your return ladies up front please.

I spent thousands of dollars on appliance from Home Depot. This specific Home Depot. The staff was awesome and helpful. Unfortunately the delivery service lies and wasted my day. I will be canceling the order and requesting a refund. I suggest you either get appliances from a different place or pick them up yourself.

They politely informed me that despite Home Depot's online policy to the contrary, they could not price match any item sold by Amazon. The customer service department here has always been extremely helpful. If you have any issues, they have gone above and beyond to help resolve them. Way better than other stores in the area. It's getting harder and harder to get help from here. Waited over 30 minutes for help. After I asked for it for the first time. I asked 3 different employees for help before finally getting some help. This makes the third time in past week. It's getting old. So I decided to go elsewhere and spend my money.

I love shopping here, I always shop in the garden section.. 3-4 times every month, the staff are always helpful and their plants are always healthy and grow great!! I wish they sold more fruit trees but regardless they are my go-to for anything I need. My chickens love their birdseed and mealworms!

I was a little disappointed today when I walked up to the door here at home depot. On the door there is a sign that dogs are not allowed. Normally my dog is not with me when I work so have never notice before. Couldn't leave him in the truck so... I know lowes doesn't have a problem at all

One of the best convenience stores around. They have fast cashiers that are very professional. Huge legal cannabis and cape offerings along with alcohol and small section for food items. Everything is a little overpriced but it's worth it to have such an efficient well employed staff.

Be careful when you see any item on clearance section they don't have any discounts .. they just stak them with a yellow tag to make you think it's on sale that is what the manager tells me when I ask her why this item was the same price as the ones that were not on clearance

A great place to buy pre-owned clothing, primarily for young adults. There is a parking garage behind the building. I was there on a Wednesday, and there were several people shopping, and on Saturdays, it's a little crowded. Friendly and helpful people work there as well.

The people that work here are just honestly so helpful and nice. We come many a weekend because my girlfriend loves DIY projects, and I really don’t think I’ve ever met a mean person in the garden center, even though they are standing out in the hot sun a lot of times.
