so I'm sharing all the real and live experiences of what we are going through - it's extremely painful working with Urban Barn head office and Barrhaven. Please do yourself a favor. DON'T consider Urban Barn until they start respecting their clients. You will regret!! Horrible sales team ! they have no knowledge of their products - lack of communication. I purchased the Sussex Dining Table -Brulé Pine . I had to call them to find out after 3+ weeks went the table will be delivered. The Barrhevan store has no clue where the table was - they call their inventory manager who also had no clue. A week later the table arrive at my home and the deliver guys told me please dont worry about all the white on your table it just snow. After few hours of waiting my table looked like someone took white paint and painted the entire table. I called Barrhevan and they send me to the head office. Head office said after few emails and phone calls that they will "waive the delivery fee to pick up the product, However the 15% restocking fee will be applied at the time of refund to your card." I have been a loyal client with Urban Barn and I will personally will never purchase another item from Urban Barn. I strongly recommend Mobilia Furniture in Ottawa. Where customer service is part of their core value and you are treated with RESPECT.

Called the store prior to leaving home and explained I’m going to get there right at closing time to pick something up I’d put on hold, and asked them whether this is OK. Despite the tight timing, the UB staff communicated this was fine on their end. They were accommodating enough to say they would have the order ready at the desk for a quick interaction. After a 25 minute drive, upon arrival, I was informed at the door that it was one minute after closing time, and that the cash register was closed for the night. Ended up driving 50 minutes in total, after the initial staff I’d spoken to said it was no problem, to find out they could no longer accommodate me picking up my on-hold order. If there was an issue getting there right at closing time, the initial staff member I’d spoken with should have made this clear, and I would’ve come the following day instead. Not a happy customer.

Very nice home decor store but I find most products overpriced for the quality. Adding to previous post, I'm now reducing it from 3 stars to 1 star … I purchased a pair of pillows to take home to see if they worked on my leather sofa. Unfortunately, they did not, so I returned them. I was disgusted when I was told I would not get a refund back on my credit card but a gift card to the Urban Barn because the pillows were on sale (a whopping $9 off two $70 pillows). I was told that I was told this when I purchased the pillows; however, I was not! It didn't matter when I explained this. I would never have purchased the pillows under such conditions. I'm now stuck with a gift card and no clue when/how I'll ever use it! Beyond frustrating!

I purchased a custom berg sofa that was not up to standard with the price. The feathers in the pillows were all coming out after a month and after that was replaced with foam I then had major piling on the sofa and the couch is not even a year old yet. Called the store to get someone out to clean/de-pill it and they would not doing anything about it. Manager said the warranty did not cover piling even though there is a one year warranty on fabric. Says it is not a defect in the fabric... there are two people that use this couch in this house and no pets. Not sure how a $2500 couch can’t last a year, especially from an upscale furniture store they advertise themselves to be.

Always a wonderful experience with Urban Barn (some exceptions with online orders being out of stock after order has been accepted). They have the most consistent customer service across all their stores. Representative are never pushy and they would always give you correct advice. Almost all the things in our living room are from Urban Barn not only because their stuff is good but also because their customer service is amazing. One suggestion: It would be great if Urban Barn allows other stores to ship items to a different store if things are not available online. It would save us long drives to other cities to pick things up.

I am Emma Rose's ^^ mother but was in the Barrhaven Urban Barn just a few days ago, as well as about a month ago, since I had a 'bunch' of weddings to attend this summer and have to say, love your inventory, love just browsing your well-appointed space and love your staff who let me know they are available but don't pester me. I always go to this store when I want to find "something different" and with two brides already in receipt of their gifts, I know that they love what they received! Little doubt that the next two will feel the same way! Highly recommend this store to everyone I know!

My experience at the store itself was excellent. The staff was very helpful and informative. I just hope I have no issues with delivery or product once received....as per other reviews I have read prior to making my purchase. I will update after I receive my sofa. I received my sofa within a month and the service from the delivery company was excellent. They called twice to confirm delivery date and then sent a message half hour prior to advise delivery will be there within 30 minutes. I am very pleased and because of their professionalism I will be making more purchases at urbarn barn.

I have shopped there many times for different items. It has always been a pleasurable experience, staff are very helpful and friendly. The only problem with this company is that they will not ship something from another store. If you order online, it takes 7-10 days? So online ordering need some work with this company.My local store in Nepean store has always been wonderful to deal with and the staff have been extremely helpful when I have been looking for a certain item. I also have been very happy with all of my purchases.

Walked in during -40 degree weather (December 27th 2017, Ottawa was the coldest capital in the world) and asked if there was a bathroom. To this an older female associate told me "Only for clients". To further add insult to this, she then proceeded to laugh at me. I promptly turned around and left the store feeling quite humiliated. I've never felt so disrespected before, would not recommend anyone give their business to this store. This assumption of my image is not only unprofessional, but should not be promoted!

I usually like this place and enjoy their products. When we shopped there one time the staff gave our kids a toy to play so we can shop. This Wed when I went to pick up a table, one of the staff was not very nice, gave me a wheel cart and never offered help when I was trying to move a big box myself out of the door and loaded it to my car, not even came to open the door for me. When I went back and looked at some stuff she came and ask if I need anything. Excuse me?

I cannot recall finding a store that I enjoyed shopping in more than the Barrhaven branch of the Urban Barn. The quality of the goods while at the high end are outstanding, the variety is excellent but what truly makes this the ‘place to shop’ is the sales personel. They are knowledgeable, patient and absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them to assist in any way possible. They are all really great and are a credit to Urban Barn.

I called the Barrhaven store to see if an outdoor rug I saw on the website was available at the store. The individual I dealt with was very polite, friendly and professional, and agreed to hold the rug for me until I could get to the store, two days later. When I went to the store, they had the rug waiting for me and it was a straightforward transaction to buy it. Great store, great staff!

We bought a painting that was not available at our part of town, but available at this location. Staff reserved the item for us over the phone. The item was there for us. The product is fantastic and priced reasonably. It was exactly the look and size we were looking for. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly: both on the phone and in person. We enjoyed our first purchase.

Urban Barn is one of the best decorating stores I have ever been in. The service is amazing and the products are unbelievable. I have bought many items paintings decorating items from the store . They go out of your way to help you for decorating ideas and putting arrangements together etc.-great place to buy gifts for clients and friends and family as well . Joanne James

Employees did not make contact, talked the entire time amongst themselves talking about their weekend plans. I tried to get their attention, but they were unable to see me as they where having too good of a time. I’ve purchased many items from urban barn and will continue to do so but not from this location. I will not be returning

My hubby and I went back to add to our collections and were not disappointed. I appreciate the staff being so helpful and attentive. My husband and I usually get treated like moneyless kids everywhere we go, but found we were helped and respected well at urban barn barrhaven

The staff at this location go above and beyond to provide amazing customer service. Peter and Samantha were very knowledgeable about the products and helped us a lot in the decision making process. Really looking forward to receiving our sectional and arm chair!

If I could give this place more stars I would. This store has tonnes of beautiful home decor items that's unique and modern, with some shabby-chic items. Their customer service is great, and their prices are fair (I bought a beautiful lamp for less than $50).

The furniture is everything I could ask for.The glass ware one of a kind.You can get lovely paintings for your rooms and cozy blankets for your bed along with beautiful comforters for the top of your bed to make your bedroom something to be envious of.

Always great service. We bought a floor model couch from them that would be delivered to us from the warehouse. When a week went by with no delivery or contact from the warehouse, the store helped figure everything out and we received our couch.

I have been shopping here a few times and it has been great! The products are beautiful. There is always a good and unique find. The sales associates are very knowledgeable and make excellent recommendations. The service is fantastic.

Zero!! I ordered a sofa and bed side tables 6 months ago and have not received anything despite paying in full for the goods. They have no clue where the items are and when they will be delivered. Poor customer service.
