"Nice little park"
It's a very nice park I love taking my grandkids and my dog for a walk over there. However there's a construction at this time, the parking lot has standing water with a lot of mud. Some of the trail has caved in and apparently they're doing repairs. I hope they finish it soon the particular trail has been caved in for a year or better.
Great local park within the area made up of Park St., Cherry St., Sydney St. and Willowbranch Terrace.. Willowbranch Creek (Canal) runs thru the park and empties into the Saint Johns River. Lots of open space. Tall mature shade trees offer many spots to get out of the sun. Family friendly, it's also a great spot for a picnic.
The area in the middle is left unmowed so there's always been tons of butterflies and pollinators when I go. There's an area with dead logs and flowers with many species of mushroom. I saw a golden eagle one day as well. Great for a quick nature walk, and there's also swings, a basketball court, and a gazebo.
This park is in a quite and safe area in Riverside. Lots of people bring their pets here. There is a children's park too, with a library on the corner. It is perfect! Lots of trees and green space, great area to throw out a blanket and chill. There is even an owl! Check out the pics (:
Nice little park. I love all of the old sidewalk bridges over the creek as it winds its way to the St. Johns River. Although the park doesn't continue over the park, there is a greenway that connects it to Mom's Park and it is certainly worth the walk to see the area. Very peaceful.
Take care of this precious gem. It is an elongated park with each section providing something special, all the way to the river. Presided over and protected by the unofficial mayor of Riverside, Richard, it is the heart of my favorite place in the country and city of my birth.
A really nice medium sized park with a creek running through it where you can spend a couple minutes or a couple of hours. It has plenty of grassy spaces with paved walkways, a shaded field for dog walking, a little playground, basketball courts and even a baseball diamond!
1st off the portable toilets were the CLEANEST I ever seen at a park, then when you came out there was a Handwashing station to wash hands soap, paper towels and a foot pump to get the water just enough to wash not waste. Only problem no receptacle for trash.
I've lived by this Park. For 25yrs. & these owls have been having baby's.. & baby's have been having there kid's.. My park i call Home. I will leave money when i die, so that will always have trees for my friends, the owls will need move tree by then..
This park is another one of my favorites. Great concrete path through the park for walking, basketball court, large grassy areas for a picnic or game of kickball along with an area for the kids to play if you have any. A lot of shaded areas as well
This library has a small but well-curated collection and with transfers from the rest of the system, you'll never lack for entertainment. They have a great children's area, separated in the basement and a focus on teens. The building itself
The Park roads and parking can be in much better shape. But the field and courts are usable. Obviously not spotless and maintained weekly but overall decent during daylight hours, but there are better parks in the neighborhood than that.
Our favorite local park! We take our dog here to get his energy out. There are a family of owls that have lived here for years. Very nice park, well maintained and lit. Next to willowbranch Library. Perfect place for a date or stroll.
I walk along after an early strong rain. In lots of places grass was very tal. A few weeks laters driving by, I saw civilians with posters calling for a maintenance volunteer activity on a Saturday morning. Thanks for their service.
Really nice and quiet park. There are basketball courts, baseball fields, a playground, plenty of places for a picnic or benches to read from. The occasional homeless person but overall worth visiting if you live in the area.
I love love love this park and the surrounding community! Awesome place to bring the family and just hang out and enjoy the scenery. Plenty of things to do, I love to shoots some hoops here! Definitely the place to be! …
This park is so pretty and so peaceful. We watched three owls going from tree to tree grabbing stuff to build themselves a nest. It really was pretty cool to watch. My grandson had a blast playing. We will happily go again
Gorgeous park with basketball court and small kids playground. Has lots of trees and clearings with sidewalks interweaving through. Also a family of owls and Hawks living in the tall trees that occasionally fly through.
I love this park! They recently repainted the basketball court to look like a koi pond and it’s beautiful! The artist did a great job. A Sports League plays kickball on Sundays in the spring and fall, and it’s a lot
I've been going to Willowbranch for 25 years. The library there is small but the building is beautiful. The park is fairly large and wonderful for a walk anytime of day. I recommend stopping by if your in the area.
Nice little park for athletic activity - basketball courts, a diamond, etc. Patches of the field are a bit rough if you're looking to play soccer/ultimate/field sports, but there are certainly much worse parks!
People need to start picking up after themselves. It's sad when the ghetto comes out and leaves their trash. Just because they trash their own neighborhood doesn't mean they should trash the park. It's sad
Nice Lil walk. No more then a few blocks really. Good spot for a picnic in the city. Lots of community activities held here. Stonewall kickball was holding a tournament? It looked like while we was here.
Beautiful and clean park in Riverside. It's surrounded by beautiful historic houses, and a library. The park has a basketball court, baseball field, sidewalk paths, and a covered picnic area.
Beautiful park just to be defaced like this, still serene yet big. Breezy with history standing still as you walk through the park.
Playground
Still have the swings of yesterday
Very nice park. I came here for a kickball game. The port o potty needed to changed and the grass needed to be cut. A food truck Mary's kitchen was out there. Omg the food was so good.
This park is lovely. It’s located in Riverside. Has playground for kids. Swings for kids and toddlers. Lots of space for dogs and walking. You can come here to play Basketball, soccer.
Beautiful park to walk around on pathways, places to sit and a lot of space if you want to have a picnic. The area is comfortably covered by a mass of trees and it’s just serene.
definitely a great place to enjoy your morning work out. What I love is that it comes with a trail that leads out of the park into another one I recommend this park for sure.
Great park with delightful areas for walks, children playground equipment was spread out to allow more children. Good drainage after the many days of rain.
Very nice park. If they had bathroom facilitys, It would have been nicer. Park was in great shape considering what it looked like after the storms.
Older Historic Park in Riverside Jacksonville. Beautiful grounds, great for walking, picnicking or just relaxing taking in the beautiful grounds
Park Deep Breathing Prayer And Meditation With Yoga Then Walking Workout Completed. Reminds Me Of Riverdale Van Courtland Park. Bronx New York.
Had the best time today. 36$ or so for a special permit. So worth it. Good times with good friends eating good food …
Nice, quiet, very well shaded by large old trees. Baseball Diamond, Basketball Court and nice little creek running into the St John's River.
My husband and I had our first picnic under a big tree it was a hot day out but we didn't notice. The park was clean and we had a good time
Lots of big trees that provide shade from the sun. There's a playground, basketball court, baseball field and picnic table under a gazebo.
Lovely wooded Park with little stream running through it. The children's swings and climbing frame is a favourite for our grandchildren.
The Allman Brothers Band used to preform free shows here back in the late 60's while they were still living in Jacksonville.
Shady live oaks, basketball and baseball facilities, a few shaded paths, and a well-stocked library at the corner. A+ park.
Big open space, quiet. Swings, large rec field, and basketball court. Just wish there was playground equipment for kids
Attended a biking event as a spectator, it was great fun to watch. And the park offer a great terrain for such event.
Beautiful park, cute stream, next to library. This park is perfect for a disc golf course! Has huge beautiful trees.
Great park. Lots of trees for shade and nice paths for you to walk on. If it had a restroom I would give it 5 stars.
Enjoy the open, green urban spaces with a softball/ baseball field and playgrounds to access as well.
Beautiful park with gorgeous walking paths sand shady trees. great spot to relax and enjoy nature.
I love this park, I just hope they plan to put a playground in after the last one was taken down.
Not kept up. Grass was not mowed in several areas, and foot path was dangerous tripping hazard.
Beautiful park. Nice and shaded beautiful stream that runs through it. Nice crystal clear water
3 different kickball games, loads of happy players having tons of fun! Beautiful park!
Very pleasant, it was clean and peaceful. People were respectable about the leash law
My son enjoyed playing basketball there. It was a family friendly environment.
Birthplace of The Allman Brothers Band. Sunday jams at this park March 1969.
Best intown neighborhood park! It is where our communities come together...
One of my favorite parks in all of Jacksonville ♀️ …
Pretty area, clean, and fields are in use. Stop, watch, and enjoy a game.
It's nice enough. I prefer a park with a track or trail inside to walk.
Beautiful during the day
Playground
Has a baseball field
Beautiful little park. Nice place to relax and enjoy nature.
Fun friendly park but maintenance slips at times
