After dealing with the same issue and explaining to the teller and the assistant manager on Friday and Saturday I got no where with it. I felt the teller and the assistant manager treated me like I was a criminal, based on the lack of due diligence to ask questions, teller lacking to inform their supervisor that I have proof of cheque that is legit through email mobile only, place of negligence to inform me on the process of locking my account and not wanting to help me with the position I was in, where getting told on Friday that this branch isn't my home branch at all when i was under the impression through all the signing papers in September of 2022 that all got transferred to this branch from edmonton. This has caused me much grief, stress, humiliation, degrading of self, fear that the bank of Nova Scotia does not have my best interest at all in regards to my Financials and most of all has created more issues in my life with family, friends, and bills. Im in all honesty, very angry and flustered in the helpless position I was placed in by this branch and from fraud department lacking proper notifications and communications to me.
Scotiabank’s services are horrible. In last few weeks they put my 2 pay cheques on hold. Now I have nothing in my chequing. Every deposit upto $100k is going to be on hold until the bank fix it . I cannot pay for my car, home, grocery, nothing. I am getting late fee penalties from everywhere and the bank is doing nothing. No one is helping at all. I am in Winnipeg and here they say that your domicile is in Montreal so you have to contact them. In Montreal no one is answering my calls or emails and then I am told to go there in person. I don’t want to travel 2300 kilometres when they have their branches all over the Canada. Just because they are not really trying to sort out , I cant rush to other place. I’m just not getting any kind of help. They are supposed to at least provide Some services instead of clearly not trying to deal with it. This is terrible experience I have ever had in my life. I do not recommend anyone to join this banking
Words cannot describe how poor this branch is. Not enough tellers whatsoever and you wait in line for half an hour or more. Then they've hired someone to encourage people to use the ATM? If I wanted to use the ATM I know how to do that on my own, thanks. Why don't they put that person behind the counter instead to help customers??? I'm 100% sure that it is not the fault of the management who seem to be doing the best they can with ridiculous corporate policies as I have read many news articles about Scotiabank in particular cutting jobs. The news does not lie and these articles really highlight the problems that this bank is having. Will be sticking with my credit union instead of this greedy bank!!
Hello I am very unhappy with the service I received from scotiabank. I have been a client with scotiabank since I was 13 years old. I put a $500 credit card limit on my scotiabank credit card because I am sick. I was over charged $29.00 because I went over the $500 limit. The card should have just declined instead of charging $29.00 I have paid my credit card and will be canceling it and moving my banking services to td bank or rbc. I am tired of the horrible services I receive from scotiabank after being a 20+ year customer loyalty.
Ignorant rude reps at this location. I went in to deposit a cheque as I did 2 weeks prior and after they screwed up and removed the holds they reinstated them. Then the woman goes and deposits the cheque after I told her to stop and wait till I call the bank to deal with this. Nothing but luring disrespectful and pushy ppl at this location.
I didn't received my Credit card even after 25 days. Called Call center multiple times and they said it is in Branch..I took half day from work and went there and they said they don't have it. Manager is not willing to listen and is just standing behind the teller. Worst service and don't respect people's time and money.

bank with held vital info that we requested by playing dumb the entire time we dealt with them. they literally didn’t care about us at all... nearly screwing my partner and i over BIG time... we asked questions a 100 different ways with no help until we did there job for them... completely useless people work there...
I visited this branch and had an appointment with trcy harrison. She is so unproffessional that instead of helping and answering the question she is judging outfits and makes weird faces about it, which makes me feel so uncomfortable and embarrass of myself. She did not helped at all and wasted my time.
My advice, don’t use Scotiabank. There’s plenty of banks to choose from, choose a good one! Too long to explain over a review but to some it up you’d most likely have a better experience somewhere else. Scotia is not customer friendly.
Very good and up to the mark service . Been there many times. Every staff member is Serving customers with smile . There friendly approach towards customer go beyond just business relation . Only problem is waiting time and long queue.

Worst experience ever!!! Walked in to ABM on Thursday May 18, was out of envelopes for deposit, came back the next day, Friday May 19 ABM was out of service!!! Never coming back to this branch again!!!!!!

I had an appointment for 3 pm.. reached there around 2:50 and waited there till 4pm and no one even cared to help me out even though I had an appointment. Worst customer service ever.
They never have full staff . Nobody is never at the reception. Even if u have appointment you have to wait in line for teller to tell them you have appointment. Lack of staff
